Once a scumbag...
Quote:
Former San Francisco 49er-turned-Chicago Bear Ray McDonald has been arrested on misdemeanor domestic violence and child endangerment charges, Santa Clara police said on Monday.

Lt. Kurt Clarke said in a news release that McDonald was arrested after officers said he "physically assaulted the victim while she was holding a baby." Police were called to a disturbance at 3:48 a.m. at an apartment in Santa Clara, only to find that McDonald had left to go to a friend's home in San Jose.

According to sources, McDonald was arrested at the home of retired 49er Justin Smith in the Silver Creek neighborhood of San Jose. Neighbors said they saw police cars about 6 a.m. Monday.

Another source said that he rents an apartment in Santa Clara on Carlyle Court for his ex-fiancee and baby. The source said that on Sunday night, McDonald went out with friends and wanted to return to the apartment and asked her to leave. He left to give her some space, the source said, and when he returned, the police had been called.

Wonder if he gets a lifetime ban now? Would be a pretty good guy to make an example of.

And the Bears have now released him.

Kaepernick again looks like an idiot, has to apologize for insensitive tweets about the flooding in Houston..... 49er fans must be proud to have this clown as the face of their franchise.....

I actually had to dig to find what happened.

And now that I see it, really? Compared to everything else going on, some stupid trash talking (as misguided as it was) really isn't much to get worked up about.

FAR worse has happened to the 49ers franchise over the past year, this is barely a mole hill.

We get it, you don't like the 49ers and you don't like Kaepernick even more, you can stop being so dramatic about events relating to both parties that barely register as news.

not being dramatic at all, just don't think he is that great of a QB and doesn't appear to be the smartest guy around.. I like the 49ers. Agreed it isn't exactly a Ray Mcdonald/Ray Rice situation, never said it was

Knee, shoulder, lisfranc, same knee again. Sucks for Clady, this won't be easy to come back from.

I worry that broken pez dispenser Manning may soon be a reality.

I really, really, really hope the Vikings stand firm and don't give in to him. His rant clearly shows without the NFL he'd be working at McDonalds (maybe...). He got paid $12 million+ last year to do nothing, and somehow he's acting like he was wronged?

He's quickly become the most hated player in the league. And acting like a victim when he's a child abuser is really funny. Just shut up and play AP, or retire. Vikings owe you nothing.

i think the Vikings should trade him while they can get something for him, lose the big cap hit and shore up other parts of the team. i think they would be better off without him

While I don't disagree with his point, HE signed his contract extension back in 2011, HE could have negotiated that his full contract be guaranteed and HIS UNION could have actually sat out some games to collectively bargain guaranteed contracts into the CBA.

Now is not the time to spout off about guaranteed contracts when you beat your son, sat out for a year, collected $12 million from the Vikings and now trying to act like a petulant child and trying to get more guaranteed money out of the team because you don't "trust that they stood behind you" last year.\

It's getting harder and harder to want to support a league with this many totally worthless human beings. Dog was kicked to death....

Quote:
Denicia Williams called police April 19 to report that her former boyfriend had killed her Yorkie, named Dior. Williams told police she had taken Dior to Shembo’s home at a Mall of Georgia apartment complex four days earlier, according to police.

At some point during her stay, Williams left Shembo and her dog unattended. When she returned, Dior was unresponsive, she told police.
Quote:
The dog had a fractured rib, fractured liver, abdominal hemorrhage, thoracic hemorrhage, extensive bruising and hemorrhage in the muscles in her front leg and shoulders, head trauma, hemorrhage and edema in lungs, hemorrhage between the esophagus and trachea, and hemorrhage in the left eye with internal injuries, police said.

Shembo, a linebacker who played at Notre Dame, was a fourth-round pick for the Falcons in 2014. He had 59 tackles in 16 games last season.

Although he was never charged, Shembo was investigated for allegedly sexually assaulting a Saint Mary’s College freshman in his dorm room in 2010. The 19-year-old woman, Lizzy Seeberg, killed herself 10 days later by taking an overdose of the antidepressant Effexor.

“Pretty much it was an unfortunate event,” Shembo told reporters after being drafted. “My name was pretty much cleared. It’s behind me now. I just want to focus on playing football for the Atlanta Falcons.”

All an appeal would have done is brought out more dirt and been a black eye for everyone involved.

However if Brady does appeal it's probably a sign that Kraft worked out a deal with Goodell in that he would back down if the NFL reduced the Brady suspension in an appeal.
Since they have the text messages between McNally and Jastremski- wouldn't they then have any text message that Brady would have presumably sent to either of them?
Since nothing was reported about this you would have to assume Brady never sent any relevant text message to them.

I realize this whole thing is just dragging on, but I can't imagine that Brady would be talking about deflating footballs to anyone other then those 2 people - which makes it all more curious as to why he wouldn't just turn his phone over.

Yup. He signed the contract under the rules that are in place. That doesn't change that the rules for contracts in the NFL are so heavily slanted against the player that it's comical.

No one is going to deny that the NFLPA is the weakest player union in sports.
