I think where it's getting annoying are the comparisons to other sports. Secretariat, and a number of football players are brought up. Ohtani, rightfully is right in that mix.
But no one has mentioned Mario's 5 goals, 5 ways. Its still mind boggling that even happened.

I think Ohtani is in the mix for greatest individual game ever, and Mario's 5 goals is a neat one for sure. I have seen Stittler mentioned elsewhere, but both Stittler snd Lemieux's games were regular season, which I think does bump Ohtani above them slightly.
Basically those are all things that will never ever happen again, so it's hard to compare them across sports. Being a playoff game makes Ohtani's "more" imo.
Although Secretariat was the Kentucky Derby, which is certainly playoff equivalent. But I think it's very difficult to compare across sports, never mind across species...
