So many picks exchanged. We did not have a lot to work with on that front. Conroy explained that this was a constraint, everyone wants picks more than prospects, that proved to be true. Lottery tickets full of more possibility.

Millions: Hearing the Flames will either make a huge move or several small moves. But they could also do nothing or make a few medium moves. Failing that, I see them making several large moves or more likely one medium moves, with a possibility of a single small move.

NJD doesn't even have a 3rd round pick this year...it'd have to be next year at the earliest.

STL got worse, Dallas stayed the course, Minny pretty much same, LA did their stuff previously (not sold on what they did), Anaheim did nothing major, and Colorado did nothing. Only SJ brought someone in and Kane is a polarizing addition.

If we do make the Playoffs we most likely face VGK/SJ/WNG/NSH in the first round. 3 out of those 4 teams just got better . Nsh didn't really have to do anything.

Non-playoff teams with UFA's usually trade those players to contenders who want to stock up for the playoffs.
Players of those types you mentioned seldom get moved at the deadline. They certainly aren't helping teams reach the playoffs.

Call me arrogant, but outside of Vegas, don't think an upsetis near impossible for any one of SJ/WNG/NSH

Bergevin is going to be under even more fire in Montreal for failing to move Pacioretty. It's not as though he's going to get more for him at the draft.

Quiet day for the flames, but I'd wager flames will have a major trade this draft/offseason. At least one of the top 5 dmen aren't here next season.
Am fine with the flames having a quiet deadline.

Not sold on the SJ and Vegas. Bottom line I don't think this was the year to go all in by depleting the prospects pool when this teams core is so young.

Absolutely too expensive to do anything in this trade market. Was hoping we would move stone so that Anderson could get some playing time but oh well. Let’s see if the boys can clutch up and make a push for the playoffs

With Stewart and Shore being brought in with nothing going out, I expect we'll see Mangiapane and Glass (and maybe Hathaway) being sent back to Stockton.

Glad that the Flames didn't move a defencemen on the roster (like Stone) to make room for Andersson.
I think that Andersson can play on the bottom pairing right now, but what happens if Hamilton or Hamonic get hurt? Suddenly you have to play Andersson in the top 4 with Brodie, and then either call up another defencemen from the farm to play on the off-side, or have Bartkowski play on his off-side.
Things could get ugly in a hurry with an injury. It isn't worth moving Stone and risking that just to get a third? MAYBE a 2nd round pick to a team that is really desperate for defencemen? Too disruptive with a chance of blowing up in your face.

No roster limit after the deadline, so don’t have to send anyone back
