For me, the Iron Islands are the worst part of the show/world.
Perpetually someone elses' bitch, never conquered because their territory is worthless.
If the whole of GOT was Kings Landing, Pyke would be Flea Bottom.

After all, they didn't seem willing to submit and bend the knee to the Boltons, and Bran and friends wouldn't send Rickon to seek shelter with people they knew he couldn't trust. That'd be totally foolish. Also we've seen this whole Stark being held prisoner thing already. So why would they retread that so soon after? Seems redundant.
Do the math people! Anyways, I'm calling it right now.
I hope I can quote myself on it later.

I think you're right. The whole "not bending the knee" thing is going to be a huge deal down the road.
Ramsay is also far from liked. Any allies he has are allies of convenience. The other nobles are likely to continue to see him as an illegitimate imposter, regardless of what title he now holds.
Also, them including Osha in the deal is highly suspect. If the Umbers really wanted to give up Rickon, you'd think they'd dispose of his highly deadly body guard.
We also don't know if old Jon Umber is actually dead. It seems highly suspect that they'd do away with an important Stark ally off screen and then simply just have the Umbers decide to totally switch alliances.

The Ironborn were conquered. They attempted to break away in the Greyjoy rebellion, but were soundly defeated.
Them being someone's bitch is kind of the point. They had been defeated and have a forced loyalty. Balon was too much of a crumudgeon to be an effective leader, and he'd never gotten over the shame of having to bend his knee and give up his son. It didn't help that Theon was a total loose cannon depleting Ironborn forces at every opportunity. The new change in management should make them a lot more interesting though. With a bit of unity, the Ironborn could be pretty interesting.

Where's the fire, Azure?
Isn't what makes this show great?
the character development and the fact that we can become attached to certain characters (and ultimately have our dreams crushed with their deaths).

Also I think this scene shows the continuing transformation of Sam, when he was first introduced there is not a chance he would have gone back home and now he is bringing his girl and "their" child home to his family. That is an absolutely major development in his character because not long ago he cringed when Stannis just mentioned his father.

The same people complaining about Sam's storyline are the same that complained about Bran's before this season.

I wonder how close Sansa and Jon Snow get to each other. Stark children are destined to almost reunite.

I doubt they were ever close, given how Catelyn felt about him. But given how well she's gotten along with Theon, I expect she'll be absolutely thrilled to see Jon anyway.

Certainly all the men in the north would know what a direwolf head looked like.

I was impressed with the stiff bodies at Castle Black after they were hung.

Would an unusually big, but not impossible, wolf head not look similar?
They haven't exactly been consistent with the direwolves sizes and I'd have watch the scene again, but didn't the head look significantly smaller than say this:
Spoilered for size.

Haha.
I suppose it would also be better if they'd release all the episodes at once like Netflix does. Then they could extend the story a few more seasons.

The head looked small to me. Especially with the head they put over top of Rob's head. That thing was much larger than a foot ball helmet.

As it turns out, you're not the only one who internally groans every time Game of Thrones cuts to its Dorne storyline. In fact, there's one group of fans out there that's so angry about the way this storyline has been handled in the TV show that they want to re-shoot it for themselves.

I guess I could pitch in a few bucks if it meant more snake boob?

I agree, it looked different (I think the head was also brown fur) but until they surprise me otherwise, I will assume its Shaggydog.

I totally agree. I watch the first 4 seasons on Netflix before catching up. Certainly a different experience.

I suppose the anticipation of getting people to wait a week might result in more viewers over the course of 1 season versus releasing everything at once and having people watch it in one night.
Because the fan theories and anticipating storylines is one of the more interesting parts about the whole show.
