what the hell is Littlefinger up to right now? the supposedly most dangerous man in Westeros has been MIA since he handed off his precious Sansa to get brutalized by the Boltons and now she's missing again anyways. was that a major eff up on his part or did that somehow go exactly as planned?
he's still Lord of Harrenhal and the Eyrie I assume, but what good is that when you've got the Boltons, Karstarks and Umbers running the show? how bout they spend some time on that instead of showing Dany very slowly being assigned to the widow hut?

Even if it will be significant they could sure speed it up a bit.
We only have 50 min. Get to the point.

I found a video on Youtube that did a great breakdown of episode 2, and now I can't find a good one to break down episode 3.
There are so many characters in play that its hard to get all the names right, especially if they bring back characters from 2-3 seasons ago.
Anyone have a link to a video that explains episode 3?

Ya, any time there is someone I don't recognize, I'm like, is he new, or back from season 3 or something? I know there is a ton of depth I am missing in the show, but whatever. I enjoy it as it is.

Funny, I was thinking that this is the first season that they really haven't introduced any significant new characters. I mean we got 30 seconds of Uncle Greyjoy and maybe some Dorthraki that aren't important for me enough to learn their names.

If any combination of Rickon/Sansa/Jon were to take Winterfell back you would have the think the whole North, and possibly the Riverlands, Vale and others would rally behind them.

Rickon's as good as dead. The dire wolf is the personification of the character's will or agency. Whenever a wolf dies, the character loses all power and often their life. Lady dies: Sansa loses all willpower and self-determination (doesn't outright die, but all her noble power is lost). Sansa has essentially been an empty shell of a character for a very long time. Nymeria is chased off into the wild: Arya eventually becomes a wild person lost in the grand scheme. Grey Wind is killed at the same time Rob is, in a trap, with no ability to defend himself. Jon dies: but Ghost lives as a bit of a silent specter...funny how Jon comes back as a ghost himself. Summer accompanies Bran and they both continue to live beyond the wall: Summer's name is in opposition to the whole "Winter is Coming" meme...Bran will likely be a major power against the White Walkers.
It will all make sense in time, but I doubt Rickon lives through this season. Sansa? Who knows.

I'm having a problem in general. The names aren't easy to remember so I struggle with keeping all the storylines straight and remembering this happened in season 2, this in season 4, and now this.

I got a warning about downloading GOT. I quickly signed up for HBO and am now watching it legitimately which I should have done all along. Such a great show, what's $20 per month to watch it!

I'll gladly pay for the channel when they split it from their terrible movie package.

I think the Umbers/Karstarks will betray Ramsay just as he looks to have the upper hand in fighting Jon and the Wildlings, who will launch a siege on Winterfell as Jon learns of Ramsay's doings. I think the direwolf head is a fake/decoy. After all, they didn't seem willing to submit and bend the knee to the Boltons, and Bran and friends wouldn't send Rickon to seek shelter with people they knew he couldn't trust. That'd be totally foolish. Also we've seen this whole Stark being held prisoner thing already. So why would they retread that so soon after? Seems redundant.
Do the math people! Anyways, I'm calling it right now.
I hope I can quote myself on it later.

I think it is blatantly obvious that Hurley Sam will play a very major role in the fight against the White Walkers and he will find some very vital information while reading at the Citadel that they will need to defeat the White Walkers. I think this has been obvious since the moment he started finding information about the Watch and the White Walkers, from the 3 blasts of the horn, to knowing about dragon glass. Also I think this scene shows the continuing transformation of Sam, when he was first introduced there is not a chance he would have gone back home and now he is bringing his girl and "their" child home to his family. That is an absolutely major development in his character because not long ago he cringed when Stannis just mentioned his father.

I can't help but thinking GoT would be better if there were only 5 kingdoms. There would be less plot lines and characters to keep track of.

I'm going to guess he rolls out the "Bat-littlefinger" accent, Christian Bale style.

Yeah, this makes me very uneasy from a pro-Stark perspective. Because Littlefinger has been plotting something for the north ever since departing King's Landing. I think ultimately he's more of a threat than Ramsay. Although he does have affection for Sansa, but at the same time he wants to control things and probably would not take well to Jon returning to reclaim his home as a Stark basically reborn. And he's monitoring everything that's happening (as it showed in the preview he's already aware of Sansa's escape) and we have yet to see what play he will make in this. So learning of Littlefinger's status will be pretty big.

Tbf I think Dorne and the Iron Islands could have had much of their screen time cut to this point, even if it's already been liimited. Unless they play vital roles in things to come, they've only taken away from time that could be spent on characters the viewers actually want to be following.

I'm almost 100% that was definitely Shaggydog and the Rickon is ####ed. Things had been going a bit too well for the Starks lately (at least by GoT's standard).
