I know they only have 3 defenders in Rogers brilliant new formation but did every one of those defenders and midfielders have to stand around until Carzola finally scored?

Maybe one of them wanted to attempt to clear the ball rather than keep letting Arsenal have free shots on goal.

2-0

Liverpool being exposed here a bit I think with their weak midfield

not enough of a link to the attackers and Arsenal just keep coming at them

Liverpool had some chances, but Arsenal's midfield ran the game. Arsenal have a really good team if they can keep Giroud healthy and in form.

Sascha Riether ... stupid ####. Totally necessary after 91 minutes when you're down 2 goals.

This is a testing week for Arsenal. A champions league clash with Dortmund on Wednesday and then playing Man Utd. over the weekend. Liverpool was a good game, but they need to keep it up.

Yeah he should be suspended for that.

Was watching that game live and was shocked at how the announcers just kind of glossed over what happened.

Deliberate kick and stomp that could have easily injured the Man U youngster.

Disgraceful. He should be booted out of the league for that type of behavior. You're messing with another man's ability to earn a living for his family. No place for that in the sport, really sickening stuff.

Riether suspended for 3 games

The FA should also be able to ban players for diving so I don't have to watch Young in a United shirt again

I have to Riether some credit, he accepted his punishment, didnt appeal and apologized profusely.

To punish divers they should get creative, like they have to wear ankle-weights for a few games or something.
