Went to buy tickets for the Ottawa game in late June and saw that any good ticket is $62. Was there an increase in the off season? That seems really high and that price goers right up to the highest five rows. Our social group said no way at that price which sucks. I feel like it was lower last year?

How many of you are going? They offer discounts for 10+, and a phone call here may have a chance at doing even better than that.
I think getting the group deal for 10 is the same price as buying 8 at face value, so you can get two freebies that you don't need I guess...
If you want to be in the main stand, it's $40 for the sections on each end, and $50 for the sections inside of that (107 and 102). Midway up in those sections gives a pretty decent view of both goals.
Huge result for Valour and the CPL. Yes it was very much a B Whitecaps side (one true starter, Sabbi started the match) but the team at the end was pretty strong. And Valour looked good!
Valour did get some pretty big luck too. I think Twardek should’ve been sent off in the 65’ minute.
The return leg is the day after the Gold Cup final. Highly likely the Whitecaps could be very short handed if the States and/or Canada make a run to the final
Alex Gangue-Ruzic reporting that the away goals rule is no longer in effect for the quarterfinals and semifinals of the Canadian Championship.
Personally, I like the away goals rule. It adds an interesting layer to two-legged fixtures. But... I get it. Europe has dropped it, with the rationale being that home teams defend more than they might normally out of fear of conceding away goals.
I'm OK with Valour putting on a good show. Any CPL team, for the matter, with the exception of Forge. Forge doesn't need the boost like some teams do, plus... FTF.
Indirectly, I can see the CSA using funds generated from the World Cup towards supporting both CPL and NSL. But there will be a long list of groups asking for a piece of that money.
Looking at early attendance numbers out of VFC and Valor , things are not looking so hot.
York gets a pass, because their number are up from last year, but 1700 fans isn't going to cut it in the long run.
This is pretty bleak, knowing that the league needs significant capitol investment to grow. There just aren't many suitable stadiums.
I hope that the World Cup Cycle helps inspire some change in attendance.
The reality is that for this league to stick around, people need to want these clubs. It's like any business. If people don't spend money on your product it doesn't matter what else you do well.
I think Cavalry are safe in the sense that enough people care about this team. Halifax, Forge and Ottawa are in good shape as well. York, Vancouver, Valour are all questionable long term at best. Pacific are stagnant.

Cavalry will be fine. You're right. They'll find another league to take them in.
VFC is what scares me the most. It might make any potential investors anxious about their prospects of any sort of ROI.
