Hey, I called one for once lol
The Ottawa Redblacks have acquired quarterback Nick Arbuckle from the Edmonton Elks in exchange for a fourth-round pick in the 2023 CFL Draft.
“We’re pleased to be able to add Nick to our locker room at this point of the season,” said Redblacks’ general manager Shawn Burke in a statement. “He’s an experienced player in our league and we look forward to having him on our side as a member of the R-Nation family.”

Yeah, after the stuff Jimenez got away with, I have a hard time having any faith that the league will do anything resembling justice in this (or any) case.

He's going to rival Kevin Glenn for teams played for at this rate.

The league announced three separate suspensions outlined by the following criteria.
- A two-game suspension for Marino’s dangerous and reckless low hit on Ottawa quarterback Jeremiah Masoli on play No. 123, which resulted in serious injury and Marino’s ejection from the game, and for Marino’s subsequent celebration;
- A one-game suspension for verbal comments Marino made about Masoli’s heritage during the game, which clearly violates our Code of Conduct.
- A one-game suspension for Marino’s illegal and reckless tackle of an Ottawa offensive lineman on a previous play.

I hope the CFLPA doesn't fight hard on this one. Also disappointed the Riders didn't outright release him as it's a bad look for the organization to keep him.

The way I see it, it should've been 4 games on the reckless low hit, 1 game for the celebration as he was escorting off.
Then 2 games for the verbal racist comment on Masoli's heritage if they really want to clean that up.
Then 1 game on Marino's illegal and reckless tackle of an Ottawa Olinmen.
8 games total!

Really looking forward to the game on saturday. I feel like the Stampeders have just as good a defense as the Bombers, should be a real barn burner.

And of course he doesn't get suspended for the rest of the season. Oh well, hopefully the 4 games doesn't get reduced.

Not making a value statement here, but a 4 game suspension in the CFL is the equivalent of an 18 game suspension in the NHL.
Actually, no, I will comment; it's not enough. The racism thing alone should land him an indefinite suspension until he completed some sort of training.
Also, CFL: say "racism" when it's racism. "Verbal comments about Masoli's heritage? Wtf?

I feel the Bombers have the better defense. One of the most opportunistic I have seen in a while as they always seem to get key turnovers to keep them in the game even when the offense struggles. I feel the Stampeders have the better offense (scored 12 more points than the Bombers so far despite playing one less game) with arguably the best running back in the league, the hottest receiver in 2022 in Henry and proven veterans like Jorden and Begelton. Peyton Logan also looks promising. Should be a good one but then again I thought Saturday night would be a good one and the Lions kind of flopped.

Bombers defense is great....but so is Calgarys.
Have to remember at seasons start the Stamps were missing key guys on D for the first 3 games and multiples of them the first 2.
The one thing WPG does have that no one else can match is the Jefferson/Jeffcoat duel threat. They can both be game changers.

My thoughts exactly. Jones is such a piece of #### and would a guy like this. That is if he's not coaching a high school team again by labour day.

Stamps better be practicing with the speakers on full blast this week as they are expecting a full house on Friday night in the Peg.

“Mistakes happen in the game and I can live with it but the reaction and how he handled the ejection? That I was disappointed in and still am, but do I think he should be cut? No, we’re not going to cut a guy for that but he knows he’s running out of chances. At the same time, I think it’s a serious offence and something we take very seriously in-house,” said Dickenson.
“Coaches are always responsible for the behaviour of their players and ultimately at the end of the day if the player isn’t gonna play the way you want them to, you have to make a decision to let him go but I don’t think we’re at that point right now with Garrett.”
Craig Dickenson also apologized for some racially insensitive comments he made which can be found in the link below:

Craig would have probably been better off not commenting as that response isn't a good look for him or the Riders. Riders are kind of the Oilers of the CFL so I can see their desperation of not willing to release a player that has value to them even if he's bad for the league.

Why hasn't the piece of crap put out a statement yet.
Lifetime ban is the most appropriate punishment. He can go play in the XFL and USFL.
