He hits hard too. Broke Hammonic's jaw in two places.

I wondered about that goalie change too. But the Avs upped their game after it.

It's easy to forget that the elevation in Denver is something else, even for a Calgarian.

Gio for one playoff run remains an option.
Kylington is a part of this trams success though. Let's give him a chance to work out of it.

IMO, MacKinnon is the best player in the NHL. And I think the Flames have done a great job on him for the most part, double teaming him with a high guy and a low guy.

I'd love to see the team cone out hitting hard and getting on the forecheck!

True, and I've really liked Kylington this season for sure. Maybe use him as a bit of a PP specialist just for the playoffs.

I don’t know. OK can skate and that is huge against a team like this.

I could see Gio being on our third pairing next year taking Zadorovs spot beside Gudbranson if we can’t resign Zads.

Don’t forget we have Stone. He was great late last season. I’d like to see him slot in at some point.

terrible take
Kylington-Tanev are arguably the best defense pairing the NHL, and like Toews-Makar at the other end, individuals will have ebbs and flows over the course of an 82 game season, especially within a week of what initially appeared to be a major injury.

Yeah when Cassie called McDermid and Lucic the two toughest guys in the league I kinda laughed and thought "Geez I thought it was Gudbrandson."

Gio in for cheap at TDL, play 11 fwds and 7 d-men, use Kylington in offensive situations and PP?

Sitting Kylington for the playoffs would be madness. He's been one of the team's star players for the majority of the season. You're gonna bench him again?

The puck has been bouncing everywhere tonight. Mony tried to pass to Chucky and it rolled off his stick. Shtuff happens.

Madness.
It's nice to be a rough boy in the corners, but we've missed TJ Brodie's skating ability against fast guys like MacKinnon and McDavid. And Kylington fills that in, keeps up, and adds a slick offensive side too. He's pure gold. Is he perfect? No, but he's gotta play. Big reason the Flames are winning this year.

It did, but it also lead to all three forwards standing still deep in the o-zone. It's not like Francouz was flopping around like Smith on the somewhat similar play by MTL tonight
