Funny you bring up Gaudreau though....he is actually a guy who can walk to UFA in about 6 months. No one seems to hold that against him.

Matthew is 23 years old. Johnny is 28. Both are key guys on this club, but get treated completely differently by the fan base.

Its just weird to me.

Tkachuk brings it on, though. He’s far from innocent.

For awhile there he was visibly getting annoyed at being made fun of by Bieksa. He seemed to have a big ego up until a few months back where he settled down a bit. There was a stretch for about 2 years where he began to grow an ego. He's fine now. On the other hand, Lebrun and Dreger seem to have the biggest heads of any of them. And they seem to be on the gossip side of things. Totally useless to TSN these days.

His demeanor has always rubbed me the wrong way. No doubt that he has insider access and is probably a nice guy, but he says some downright weird things sometimes. His interviews with players are unbearable.

Sources confirmed to CHN that the Calgary Flames have made Mathew Tkachuk available to the Buffalo Sabres. However, a source close to the situation also included Sean Monahan.

A second source confirmed Monahan, a center, was also available.

Exactly. Can’t stand Friedman. The vast majority of Friedman’s quotes begin with “I get the feeling” or “I really believe”. He speculates so much. Such a contrast from Bob Mackenzie who only ever seemed gave information that he knew to be correct. Much prefer real insider information that’s factual than constant speculations from Elliott Friedman’s “gut”.

Friedman hasn’t had any solid Flames scoops for a while. Pure speculation on my part but I wonder if he ticked off the Flames when he reported the Brodie trade that never went through?
