Exactly what I was thinking. There is nothing worse than a toxic workplace. Especially in professional sports where you’re stuck with these people 24/7.

If I was GM I’d have dumped Jones. Maybe he’s untouchable? Who would trade for him and give up value knowing he’s a cancer?

For the most part re: Laine, it looks to have boiled down to 2 things.

1) he sees himself as a first line player and the Jets feel otherwise

2) the leadership group (Wheeler / Scheifele) are a demanding group that can be hard on teammates that they feel aren’t pulling their weight. It’s believed that Laine has been someone they have been tough on at times.

Someone on twitter claiming to be a friend said Dubois witnessed a car-jacking where the perpetrator was shot and was very disturbed about the Dayton mass shooting in the nightlife district.

Ohio is an open carry state so maybe this young Canadian wants nothing to do with living life dodging bullets or looking over his shoulder in a bar/restaurant.

Agreed. He would have been a great piece to add, but not someone I would drastically shake up the team for. When a player like Dubois is available, you have to consider adding him, but not at all costs.
