Ive been a fan in years past but in the last few years he’s lost my support.
He seems to be trying to appease the masses and has lost what made me like him in the first place.

MacLean is a dirty Oilers cheerleader and he always has been.

Unpopular opinion perhaps, but hot take?
They are the gambling favourite in the series. By that measure, saying the hawks will win is an actual 'hot take'.

Everytime Matthew Tkachuk shows his ass to the league an angel gets their wings.

I didn’t mind him either.
He is good at what he does and asks less typical, less mundane questions.

Ron as a hockey resource, his passion for the game and history and treasuring and celebrating it’s place in Canadiana cannot be denied, and there is not many in the game in the position have that passion, and the game needs guys like that in the country to keep that passion alive.
However, the way he presents it and tries to be coy and clever and jam as much of that info, presented as coy and clever in to his diatribes, is the issue for me.

That isn't the real playoffs. They are talking like they are going deep

Give his job to David Amber and Leah Hextall.

Whoa whoa whoa. I'm all for ripping on Ron, but lets be serious here. I'd take 1000 games of Ron over Leah Hextall. Hell, I'd take Gene Principe over "token female and full time TV sedative" Cassie Campbell.

In truth, that goal looked identical to the goal that was recalled in the Flames last game v. VGK. I thought that one should have counted as well.

are you saying they will do well in the playoffs or they will beat the Hawks...big difference
Oilers had a good 10 minutes in an exhibition game...probably a little early to start pumping their tires

Maybe Ward is playing the top two lines in the third, where he played the bottom two lines most of the second. All part of the plan maybe.

Did you mean Cassie Campbell?
Not that I agree with that either, but most on this forum loved Leah.
