Sounds like his personal insurance will cover the 8k deductible, and he is on the hook for his personal insurance deductible (which I imagine will be much less) as well as the possible increase in his insurance rates. Still a pain for something that doesn't seem to be his fault.

also he gives a shout out to CP on that link. sucks that he is on the hook for deductible, but at least he had personal insurance as some condo/apartment people don't.
