Yeah it totally neglects the actual time before the snap setting up the play, which is really quite important.
What's amazing is each player only plays half the game. So really maybe 6 minutes of actual physical contact in one game. In reality, it's probably less than even 6 minutes a game because players generally stop playing when they are no longer involved in the play. This shows how intense a sport NFL football is.
After seriously contemplating going and the associated costs, I couldn't resist this game. I normally work Sundays, but I got the day off, bought flights to Vancouver for early Sunday morning, driving down in a rental car. Hoping 8 hours is enough to cover any flight delays/border delays and travel time to Seattle.
Ended up paying over $500 for an upper bowl seat (face value $110..ouch). But this could be a once in a lifetime event for a Seahawks fan!
After that game, drive back to Vancouver and fly out the next morning.

The perfect storm of d-baggery that is C-Kap is even more pronounced when put in context...
Spoiler!
Haha thats the dumbest thing i've ever seen. You can't actually fall for that. Anyone can pick pictures of one guy looking like an idiot and another looking like a saint.
I can do it too!
Kaepernick does a ton of stuff in the 49er community.
That instagram thing was created by a Seahawk fan, obviously they will make Kaeps look like the devil and Wilson a saint.
People like to talk about his tattoos, well a ton of athletes have them including hockey players, doesn't mean anything about who they are as people.

Where are the pictures of Wilson looking like an idiot?

Actually, flight into Seattle isn't that much more than going to Vancouver and rent car.
I bought the flights with airmiles, they didn't have anything that left day off that would get us to the game on time through Seattle. Leaving from the Edmonton airport too, which might be different than Calgary
Brady missed practice today with an "illness". [The Score]
With Bellichick it could be pure gamesmanship, you never know.
I actually don't expect this Patriots and Bronco's game to be a big scoring affair because I anticipate both teams will drive the ball down the field methodically. The Bronco's only had one punt against San Diego yet only put up 24 points despite San Diego doing nothing offensively for 3 quarters. I'm thinking it could be a game with less than 60 total points and zero punts, a lot of 6-7 minute drives.

Exactly.
I'm sure Kapernick is a decent dude a lot of the time and does a lot of good things for local organizations. However, he also acts like a complete f****ing tool. On and off the field. Russell Wilson unequivocally does not act that way.
I'm glad he reads to kids, but the way he conducts himself in general still has me convinced that he's a giant walking wang.

Can we talk about the actual teams involved? Two stout defenses, two inconsistent passing games, two dependable running games...it will all come down to home field advantage, won't it?! If SF can start fast like Tampa Bay did during the season, they take the crowd right out of it. But if Seattle starts out fast, there might be no coming back for the Niners.
Pats/Broncos doesn't even need to be dissected, just sit back and enjoy the ride.

Seattle needs to get touchdowns in the red zone. Settling for field goals (like they have the last couple of weeks) will not get it done against the 49ers. I think that's basically it.

Wilson needs to play football...more than half this season, he's holding onto the ball far too long waiting for something to pop open. Almost as if all his (over) preperation has him waiting/looking for the triggers of defense tendencies he saw on tape, play out. Simply don't have that time, he has to let loose, or go for a run. 100 yards last week, not much more the final regular season game or really the last month of the season.
Lynch has to have a good game regardless to make sure the passing game is opened up...he got shut down vs SF last game and Wilson had no answer. Wilson does enough and makes that critical play (that 3-1 lob throw to Baldwin falls incomplete, Seattle punts instead of running the next play in for a TD, and that game could swing the other way quickly), but that's walking a fine line game in and game out. The last 5 or 6 weeks he has not outpassed his opponent, and that has to change.
The defense has been absolutely dominating all season, the best ever in Seattle's history, I expect them to be firing on all cylinders again, getting pressure, and hopefully forcing Kaepernick into some ill timed throws. But like the SF and ARI loss, they can't do it all on their own.
For the defense reason alone, Wilson needs to take this one on his shoulders and contribute more than he has recently.
Weather looks to be fine, but as usual comes down to turnovers. *knock on wood* Seattle's been ok this year with not turning the ball over on offense.
Full credit to SF who is on a roll this last 6 weeks or more. Wilson needs some solid TD drives in the first couple quarters to keep the SF defense from plugging up Lynch. He does that, and Seattle's fine barring anything drastic....but if he struggles to move the ball down the field or into the end zone...
Hopefully the home field advantage is the deciding factor if things are close at the end...if there's anywhere in the NFL, or maybe even North American sports, that it's a tangible factor, it's in Seattle.

In defense of Wilson, his receivers are garbage. Sidney Rice was his one legitimate receiver and since he went down they've basically lacked consistency. Sure Tate, Baldwin and Kearse are decent options, but they aren't legit #1 receivers. When Harvin was in the game last week it really opened things up. Hopefully he can play on Sunday.

I hear ya. Spent 700 on a ticket. Fly out early Sunday morning come back on Monday. Haven't been to a game all year so I thought I would treat myself. Should be a hell of game with great atmosphere. Really looking forward to it.
