Have Robinson and Forsett on the bye this week for Running back. Ellington will be my RB1, Struggling on who to start at RB2:
Mckinnon or Asiata. Committee backfields make me sad.

I really hate when teams that aren't going to make the playoffs give up on adjusting their roster.
I know in the CP leagues there is the chance you will be dropped down if you're in the bottom 3. Maybe teams that don't bother adjusting their rosters should be dropped down automatically

we have the red dress rule in my league. last place has to draft wearing a red dress at the bar. Keeps it interesting and makes sure no one just gives up.

In the league I run, we determine the draft order for the following year based on the playoffs and consolation playoffs. It basically works out like this:
1 - 7th place (winner of the consolation playoffs)
2 - 8th place (consolation runner-up)
3 - 9th place
4 - 10th place
5 - 11th place
6 - 12th place
7 - 5th place
8 - 6th place
9 - 3rd place
10 - 4th place
11 - runner-up
12 - Champion

I scored the 3rd most points in my regular league (12 teams) and lost. Im now 3-7-0 and have scored the 4th most points overall. Top 8 make the playoffs, so ill need to win the remaining three matches and get some luck.
I improved to 6-4-0 in my keeper league and have won 6 of the past 7 weeks, so things are going good there. Hopefully it keeps up.

What kind of rules do you guys have in place for a keeper league? I've read a bunch of different ones, just want to know what you guys think is the best

We are in our 3rd year.
Its an 8 team league. Two divisions of 4.
Top 6 teams make the playoffs, the winner of each division get a bye.
We get to keep 8 players from last years roster.
We do a standard draft every year to fill out the remaining roster, last place team gets the 1st overall pick, etc.
I like it lots because everyone gets to keep their best players/players with potential and you can make trades that will help your team long-term as opposed to a one year league.
Also, if you can have a good draft/grab rookies with huge potential, you can use them to improve your current roster if you want to make a run at it.
I drafted Eddie Lacy and Le'Veon Bell last year and after starting this year 0-3-0, I traded them for Jamal Charles and Julio Jones. While it sucked to trade two young RB's, I was able to get a young number one receiver (which I was in need of) and a great RB. I've now gone 6-1-0 since the trade.
Standard scoring settings.

Finishing up our 2nd year.
10 team league (expanding to 12 next year).
No divisions, top 4 teams make the make playoffs (might increase that to 6 next year but probably not).
Play for trophy but we're also adding money next year (highest scoring team wins money, playoff winners get money, highest scoring team for the year wins money etc).
Standard draft.
Keepers coming after next season (only 2 and the guy you keep becomes your pick 3 rounds higher next draft and you cannot protect guys picked in the first 3 rounds).
Standard rosters.
Play 14 regular season weeks. Week 15 and 16 become playoff weeks.

We are starting a keeper league in one of my leagues and I wrote down a bunch of options.
Quote:
Option A: We cannot keep players we drafted in the first 3 rounds. This will keep the draft better for the following years. We forfeit 2 rounds higher in which the player kept was drafted the previous year.
Option B: We keep 3 players based on tiers. Tier 1(rounds 1-3) Tier 2(rounds 4-8)
Tier 3(rest of draft+FA). You can only keep 1 player from each tier. After each year tier 2 player moves up to tier 1 and tier 3 moves up to tier 2. Meaning you have to drop one of your tier 1 players and assign a new tier 3 player.
Option C: we are given 6 year caps. We sign players to contracts totaling 6 seasons. So you can sign one player for 6 years or sign 6 players for 1 year. You can divvy them up however you want. Contracts cannot be extended and once they are up they go back in the draft. If traded his contract becomes void.
Option D: just start up a dynasty league.
|
What would you guys think is the best?
Is anyone a dynasty league? I've done research on it and it takes lots of dedication.

The keeper league I'm in does it differently, and it seems to work pretty well.
1. Set a limit on keepers; our was obviously zero the first season, then three in season 2, four in season 3, and five in all subsequent season (I've heard anywhere from 2-8 keepers work well, depending on league type and size, and individual preference).
2. Owners may choose less keepers than the max.
3. Each keeper chosen corresponds with a lost pick from the same round in the upcoming draft. (eg. I chose Dez Bryant in the second round last season; if I choose Dez Bryant as a keeper this season, I lose my second round pick for this season's draft.)
4. A player who is chosen as a keeper but was not drafted (eg. acquired via waivers) is automatically labelled as a tenth-round pick. The second such player is labelled as an eleventh-round pick. And so on.

Julio Jones vs Browns (Is SOOOOOOO due...is the Offensive Line getting better though)
AJ Green @ Houston (Finally healthy)
Josh Gordon @ Falcons (Who knows if he will be rusty and how he will be used)

I'd go Jones and Green. Give Gordo a week to catch up (he is said to be ready but you never know).

Le'Veon Bell saved my arse last night. Thanks to some crazy added scoring settings like 1 bonus point for his 200 yard game and a -5 deducition to the Vikings for giving up 500 yards, I tied my opponent 95-95 and won the tie breaker on bench points. If I lost a game like that, I'd be livid.

Our league didn't start until week 3. I'm leading the league in points for, have the least amount scored against me, and I'm 4-5. Super frustrating.
FF is a fickle mistress I guess.

Yea, I have the 3rd most points for (5th most against, 12 team league) in my regular league and am 4-7-0. 8 teams make the playoffs, thankfully, I had a huge win against the 8th placed team last week, the 9th place team also lost, so I ended up jumping from 10th to 8th and now control my playoff destiny.

I'm in a 12 team league with two divisions. I have the second least points against but my points for is also terrible. I'm only 5-6 but I have a 4-2 record against teams in my division. I'm 9th overall and 4th in my division.

Cecil Shorts III @ IND or
Kendall Wright @ PHI?
Planning to roll with Jeffery and Harvin as my other two WRs

Julio has the flu...and the Browns have better WR coverage.
Whichever one I bench WILL be the stud in week 12.
