What that boils down to is that we’re still on schedule and things are looking good. There’s still a lot to do over the next seven days and there are still unknowns… but we have a great team that is dedicated to making Arena Commander a reality!
Arena Commander still on schedule for release on May 29th!
The current set of stretch goals are backer gifts essentially, if you back (or have backed) before each milestone you will receive the item in question.

Stellar Cartography – Walk among the distant horizons you’ve charted in Star Citizen’s dedicated “map room” featuring a 3D holographic representation of the known universe. Your map room will start with a basic guide to the United Empire of Earth, and will expand into something that is unique to you as you explore uncharted worlds and discover new secrets. Build the most in-depth universe map possible and show it off to visitors, or lock down your secret jump points and hidden trading posts so that no one else can follow. Hadesian Artifact – The mystery of what happened in Hades has been one of the great archeological puzzles ever since the system was discovered in the early 26th Century. The evidence suggests that the Hadesians nearly erased their entire civilization in devastating civil war that left a planet cracked in half, but so many questions remained. Who were these Hadesians? How did the war get started? Over the centuries, even the public became enamored by the mystery of this system. This curiosity was inflamed when scientists recently discovered a lone Hadesian artifact on the black market of all places. Trinket manufacturers quickly tried to capitalize on the resurgence of interest by building exact copies of the artifact for sale to the public, even replicating the unidentified symbols along the base…

Updated Scanning Software – Chimera Communications unveiled the latest version of their SBit scanning software, also announcing a one-time free upgrade for their current and long-standing customers. The new SBit upgrade offers advanced scanning capabilities for prospecting asteroids above and beyond their baseline systems. SBit is a FIB-based system that floods the scan-zone with energy then processes the frequency of the energy reflected back, providing the operator with a composite sketch of potential ore deposits. With the new version, Chimera included an updated library of searchable frequencies as well as variable scan sizes, allowing smaller surface, higher-resolution scans. The general public will be able to purchase the update when SBit is officially released.

One of the most interesting game development processes I've ever seen, I like how they are letting the fanbase create in game assets before release. I've never even heard of that before.
The Following User Says Thank You to AcGold For This Useful Post:
CIG had a few bugs crop up that will prevent them from launching tomorrow.
It sounds like they are making good progress on fixing them but they still need to go through the QA process and make sure their fixes didn't break anything else.
So, it will be a few days.

I know game development isn't an exact science, but you'd figure after already pushing the DFM/AC back 5 months CIG would have announced a solid release date after having a stable, ready to go DFM revision.
By the sounds of things, we should get AC early next week. In their latest report, they said they seemed to have ironed out the major issues, and they'll do another pre-launch check as early as Monday. In fact, they haven't ruled out a Monday release.
Problem is, I broke my wrist. And playing this will not be easy.

Aww #### man... that sucks! I hope you recover fast.
With regards to Star Citizen:
Basically they are playtesting the #### out of the current build over the weekend and hoping that no big bugs crop up. Their next go/no-go meeting is Monday morning and it is possible they could launch Monday although I would think Tuesday/Wednesday would be more likely.

It will launch late tonight, early tomorrow morning. If you can, start your game launcher before you go to sleep and it should download on its own. Just make sure you are logged in to the launcher and click on the gear in the top right hand corner and make sure Enable Automatic Updates is checked.
After playing for a couple of hours, I have to say that I'm pretty pleased with AC. I don't have a lot of experience playing these sorts of games, so the criticisms levied by more hardcore flight sim gamers are lost on me.
I'm currently using a 360 controller, which for me is a lot more intuitive than the keyboard. However, the broken wrist limits my ability to work the left side of the controller.
I think the flight physics could use a little bit of work, but that may be my lack of skill shining through. Visually it looks very good, and I can tell I'm far more interested in exploring than dog fighting because I'd much rather scan asteroids than shoot Vanduul.
It's a real game and it exists
Controller > KB+M > HOTAS
Pretty
Music is great
Bad:
HOTAS barely works for most people (doesn't matter much to me)
SFX are pretty weak, even through a good 5.1 system
SLI support is awful (which is weird because it worked fine in the hangar module)
