It's a reality game show, in the vein of Survivor, Big Brother, Amazing Race.
23 "celebrity" contestants (I use the term celebrity loosely, D list for sure)
They have to work together to complete tasks and win money. At the end of the game the survivors win the money earned.
There are 4 traitors. They aren't trying to sabotoge the games (as their potential earnings increase by doing well too) but they murder a contestant each night. During the day everyone votes publically on who they think the traitors are.
In the end if all the traitors are voted out, the contenstants (or faithfuls) win. If the traitors are those that remain, then they win.
Really interesting concept. Apparently it was in the UK first, and now this is the fourth season in the US.
I'm watching as Ron Funches is on this season.
Also it's hosted by Alan Cumming
Alan Cumming absolutely chews the scenery in a most enjoyable way.
My 7-year old is obsessed with it.

Entertaining show, but a completely flawed game from a logic standpoint.
But if you can get past that, its a great watch. I'm a fan. Canadian version is great too
See, there are a ton of games like that - the classic Werewolf, various iterations of The Resistance, Secret Hitler, and more complex or involved things like Blood on the Clocktower.
What I don't understand is, if you find this sort of thing entertaining and engaging, why not just actually go play them? There are meetups for this stuff all the time, last I checked there was at least one BOTC game at Sentry Box every week. That would be way more fun than watching an edited video of other people playing it, no?

No.

The Last Frontier is so stupid. It does head into so bad it’s good territory at times and I have been laughing at the ridiculousness.
The premise is decent and I feel like it would have worked better as a fugitive of the week police procedural instead of a trying to be a prestige Apple drama with a big scope CIA conspiracy storyline.
