I think Stecher may have cost Mike Stone another contract. He's not a world beater but he showed that there's lots better at a similar price. Id re-sign Stecher first and if not, look elsewhere than the one trick pony Stone. Then, if absolutely no one else signs, sign Stone. Because he isn't going anywhere else.

Kind of depends on how much he wants. I think he raised his stock after coming to the Flames, but they can't afford to overpay the bottom 6. Unless something drastic changes, I think they are going to rely on cheaper options.

He made $1.25 last season, and I could see him getting at least that next season, maybe even more.
