Still a winnable game. They've fought hard, tough breaks. I'm just enjoying the meaningful hockey while it lasts, it's been exciting at least.

The Yotes get Valimaki and Mackey instead of Bedard for tanking

The good goalies get some that they aren't. Like one of the 4 on Markstrom tonight. Make a save that you aren't supposed to make. That's what the 6 mil is for.
I agree, we should expect more from a guy getting paid to be a difference maker. Seems like this season we are content with just making the saves he needs to make. Unfortunately that hasn’t happened either.

The need players not to have brain farts. Backlund, Backlund and Lucic.

Flames have actually done a great job at building a team around star players. The trouble is, there aren't any star players.

Last goal was a combination of a bad bounce and terrible defence by Anderson. Didn’t take any pressure away from the shot threat and allowed two passes through the middle.

I’ve been a big Markstrom critic this year, but he’s generally been good lately.
You’d like a big save from him on goals two or three, but I don’t think he’s the problem tonight.

I think the standard for both Marky and Huby have lowered at this juncture. From a nice couple of saves, to one nice pass or a nice forecheck, the bar has been lowered.

Time to exorcise demons. Win when trailing after 2 to win 3 in a row!

Backlund and Hanifin/Andersson are showing they can’t handle big games

Lucic is not a brain fart. He is just being himself. The brain fart is the guy behind the bench
