The story this comic is directly adapting (which is advertised at the very end of the trailer) is one of the best superhero stories ever. I am very excited to how this is translated. Also, knowing how this story goes you’ll be quite off the mark with how you think the dog will be used.

After the last raft of DC movies, this means nothing to me.
They destroyed the source material for 'The Dark Knight Returns' and 'Death of Superman' so if they can ruin those then they can ruin anything.
That movie was not remotely close to being a direct adaptation of either of those stories. It was also done by one of the worst filmmakers of our generation.
This is a direct adaptation of Tom Kings story and he’s also heavily involved in the production of Gunn’s DCU. I think there’s a way better chance this is a home run than a flop.

Home run is relative. This movie is not expected to do Aquaman numbers. It’ll be lucky to do superman numbers.

I think you’re underselling how well Gunn’s vision actually landed. Superman made about $617M off near universal critical praise and a word of mouth that sustained its box office performance weeks past what is typical for a blockbuster. Considering that most movies in the twilight of the DCEU were spectacular box office flops, this was practically a miracle. Gunn starting to rebuild brand equity of DC with that film is a huge win, even if it didn’t break any records.
If Supergirl is well reviewed, which I think is very likely considering the team behind this film and the material, I wouldn’t be shocked if it ends up beating Superman at the box office.
Based on that trailer I think it’d be lucky to hit 500 worldwide if it’s good. 400 is probably more likely. Maybe less.
I think that’s wildly pessimistic with not a lot of evidence to back it up. If it’s a critical hit I would be surprised if it’s not in the 600-800mil range. That’s well within the Birds of Prey and Wonder Woman range.
I dont know about this one. I think its just not my jam. Influencers acting like brats? Thats already too close to reality and something I couldnt care less about.

Looks like an interesting way to do the music artist tour-themed movie ala Taylor Swift. The idea that the artist herself isn't buying into her whole shtick is kind of neat (and also pretty real).
I don't think I've ever heard a Charlie XCX song, but she seems cool and I'd probably watch this.
