“There’s some extraneous things that have me quite concerned with Tristan,” Stauffer said on Oilers Now on Friday.. “I can read between the lines of what was going on the ice yesterday in practice. There seemed to be some [expletives] flying. I didn’t like that Jarry, when the Oilers lost 7-3 to Minnesota, talked about how the team is playing defensively in front of him.
“I watched him yesterday in practice, and he was getting beat [by pucks] in practice, and finally one of the leaders, you could see him [say] ‘You’ve got to push it more.’ And it’s both [goalies]. And that’s concerning.”
Oilers Trade Looking Like a Massive Mistake
Though everything is easier to review with hindsight, the decision to trade both Skinner and Kulak to the Penguins is looking like a bigger disaster by the day. Not only did they seemingly get the worse of the two goalies, but they moved out a big piece of their blue line, which was already a point of concern for this team.

Don't worry guys. The Oilers can still attach a 2026 2nd, 2027 2nd, or 2028 1st to Jarry and trade them for a 4th line winger in the off season to fix the mistake.

And they traded away their first round pick.

If they want to get rid of Jarry, they need to make "or" a "and".

They know it's true, but it's more the audacity of a player not named Connor or Leon speaking up.

Like other wingers he fell for the "we think you'll fit right in playing on McDavid's wing" spiel

Lol, Player who's in the field of "earn as much as you can before your career ends between 35-40" is now greedy for accepting a contract offer. What a bum that Mangiapane not passing and letting them give him league minimum instead.

On the Baghdad Bob file, staples thinks that he would make a great asst GM for the oilers, except…
““Stauffer is incredibly valuable to the Oilers in his current role as Oilers Now host, putting out insider info, setting out the organization’s preferred narrative, and navigating the unsteady waters of the Oilers fandom’s relationship with the maddening team.”
Setting out the organization’s preferred narrative. Look at the narrative right above this post! Goalies call out defensive play and they get told “you’ve got to push it more.”
So inspired. But is it better than “let’s go” or “dig in…right effing now”?
Between motivational quotes and bridesmaids, is there anything that oilers “leadership” can’t do?
Oh wait…

Short sighted. He supposedly had higher offers for one year. He could have taken that, played well, and earned more.

How many players can say that they were traded with a first round pick, and were the best player in the trade?

Maybe, just maybe, he was the actual secret agent we always talk about here. He’s helped to tank the team’s future.

Are the Oilers the only professional sports team that has to employ a minister of propaganda to promote a preferred narrative?
They really are in a league of their own.
