The 2nd season is no where near as good as the 1st. You could tell they were crunched for time and the quality of everything suffered. It's still watchable and enjoyable, but it's nowhere near the extremely high level season 1 set.

Are you all watching the foreign films/series in original w/ subtitles, or the overdub versions? Society of the Snow voice actors don’t seem too awful the first few minutes in.

watched the dubbed version, and its definitely better than I'm used to. Didn't find it nearly as distracting as normal
I watched it subbed, I always find dub distracting and takes away from the actual performances. It was excellent. Even my son was really interested in it and watched a good portion (and he is a bit younger and I don't think ever watched anything with subs before).
Tossing out a recommendation for The Brothers Sun. It's part martial arts, part comedy, part family relation drama. Michelle Yeoh continues to kill it.

Society of the Snow is very good. I’ve been interested in the story of the Andes plane crash survivors since I read Alive by Piers Paul Read when I was a kid (don’t think you’d find that book in a jr high library these days). This movie is much better than the Ethan Hawke one from the 90s. It’s filmed almost as a docudrama, hewing to the reality of the catastrophe. And it handles the whole cannibalism thing sensitively without shying away from the facts.
