Check out Kevin Stevens career without Mario

Half the oilers shouldn't be in the hall of fame.

Hyman might make team Canada too.

Guys this good have all made someone look very good

McDavid belongs in the category of very good players who never won the Stanley Cup. Marcel Dionne and Jarome Iginla are in that category, too.

Until you win the cup, you are not in the conversation of the best of all time.

I'm a fan of Crosby, and I never saw Howe or Orr or young Gretzky, but for me I've never seen anyone come close to dominating a game as much as Lemieux did in the early 90s.

You could lump Lindros somewhere in there as well. He could change a game with will power alone. If it hadn't been for concussions, who knows.

Lindros dominated in his peak too, but not at not the same level as Mario imo...who also did it in the playoffs. Mario was Jordan-esque in his peak.

Chris Kunitz has won 4 (2007 in Anaheim + 3 with Pittsburgh).

Many players from the Pens and Hawks have won 3, as have a few other players like Maroon and Martinez, who won 3 with more than one team.

Lindros belongs in the never won a cup group.

More than cherry picking at center and skating really fast in a straight line half a dozen times in a game?!?

Where does he stand? Top 5?

You've got Gretzky, Orr, Lemieux.
Comparisons across eras becomes hard, but do you put him at #4? I might.
All-time starting lineup? This is probably for another thread, but...

Gretzky Lemieux Crosby
Orr Makar
Roy

That's probably mine, right there. Second D is the tough one. Potvin was my initial thought, then I went through the usual Bourque, MacInnis, Coffey, Lidstrom, etc list... But I honestly think Makar is just flat out better than all of them. Recency bias aside.

To think they went from Lemieux and Jagr to Crosby and Malkin is like... how does that even happen.

Also E=NG

Spoiler!

Playing this game on Sporcle (yes, another wild Friday night over here…)

Even a randomized word search knows E=NG!

I would do Lindstrom/Orr
Would just be an unreal combo of offense and defense

Gordie Howe erasure going on in this thread!!!!!

But imo Crosby is top 3. Orr is obviously magnificent but the longevity of Crosby puts him ahead.

Or you play Gretzky permanently behind the net in his office with the other three forwards around the circles and Orr patrolling the line. I don’t know who could get the puck from them.

Put Hasek in net.
