Just what they needed tonight. And, this poor Twins bullpen will be taxed for the series now.

They needed this. Not badly, but they needed it.
Psychological boost on the same night the O's are getting pounded and Sox are also currently behind.

Barney is having such a great year. I'd almost consider him over Travis at second. Little
Drop offensively, but big gain on D.

Hey, I'm all about the Barney praise, the guy has been excellent.
That said, Devon Travis is a 5.1 WAR player over 131 career games, projecting him as a 6+ WAR player.
A 6+ WAR player doesn't sit on any bench, on any baseball team anywhere in the world.
Barney makes a great backup though.

I don't agree. Travis has the skills to be a very, very good second baseman - potential all-star material.

I'm not saying long term, I'm saying to finish the year. Travis is starting to be a liability out there in the field.

I just don't trust Travis to make the big plays on D in a big game. It will definitely come with time and he's the answer long term, but he's costing them games recently with his d. Can't have that in this race. Not asking him to be like Goins in the field, but has to start making plays. Barney is a gold glover who can contribute offensively. Not to the extent Travis does, but his d makes up for it.
