The airport did indeed get hit hard.

We're down half our domestic gates right now at YYC, Concourse B damage is extensive. Interesting to see how we get through with nowhere to put planes.

On closer look, every Air Canada flight is cancelled so far so I guess we'll be fine.

Whole thing missed Airdrie really, we got a decent amount of rain but no hail or torrential downpours.

Was about to rebook flight for tomorrow, but thinking that might be mistake. Probably more cancellations and delays to come.

I've had a couple of momentary power outages over the past few days including one just now. I'm in the NW. Anyone else have this? I'm assuming it's weather related.

It’s funny that you get the virtual stink eye for this whenever there’s a forest fire but we get hit with a storm that does millions of dollars in damage and there ain’t a peep about the storm fanboys.

Bring on that heat.

Selfishly this storm missed me and it's just a pleasant morning sprinkle now. Perfect day weather-wise so far. #### the heat!

That is some quality construction work Airport authority, thankfully we have been paying those grotesque fees forever.

I wish it was more moderate without wild swings one way or the other.

A (cheap) solar panel powering a camera got smashed to bits and I have about a dozen perforations in my vinyl siding. Guess I gotta sit on hold for a couple hours today.

Are all flights being cancelled or just the certain ones? I have a friend coming back later this week and wonder if this will impact them

B Concourse (and C if it was damaged) are the oldest ones at the terminal, dating back to the 70's if I recall what Acey said a few posts back. What exactly should the Airport Authority have done, those building predated when the authority even existed?

The only thing that would make me consider a belief in God is the fact that I miss the worst part of every storm. If there is a big beautiful lady in the sky I am clearly one of her chosen people.

Storms can be beneficial if they're only rain and maybe small hail. Those are the ones I wish for, and I feel bad for anyone dealing with insurance right now

The amount of dry 30 degree weather we've been getting isn't beneficial. Complaining when it's a relatively warm, seasonable temperature is psychotic. No offence, UCB.

It is probably too early to tell. There will be a ripple effect through the schedules with today being the worst, and hopefully improving with each day. The best you can do is keep watching the flight status (and crossing your fingers).

Ahh, thought it looked like the new part.

Sure, I was just pointing out that the extremes seem to be treated differently. Too much of one thing isn’t beneficial any way you cut it.
