I just can’t get over grabbing an opponent’s stick and falling down.

Oilers will get a much tougher and skilled opponent with better goaltending in round 2. They've really had it easy over these last two games where they've enjoyed being able to play their favorite regular season river hockey style, and every shot ending up in the back of the net. If they get to round 2, they'll be shocked by how much tougher it'll be.

As some on here were anointing the Kings as world beaters after game 1, I will steer on this side of caution after game 3 because…oilers. There has been long spans in each game where LA has decidedly out played the oilers and I am slightly concerned the oilers will get ahead of themselves here. Having said that, I hold to my oilers in 5 prediction/guess.

Nobody was anywhere near that. They beat the Oilers. That's like knocking out Glass Joe.

This one looks like the glass slipper fell off after game 1. I think this one is over in 5.

This Oilers team when boiled down is 2x elite talent surrounded by a bunch of mediocre talent, below average defense and the epitome of sketchy goaltending. When does the curtain get pulled back ?

Best of three. Edge still to the Oilers, but the Kings are far from dead. Go Kings Go.

That was fun to watch...it's always beautiful to see the Pooplers lose.

Nurse and Kane meltdowns were the best!

That was a solid bounce back by the Kings. They came out hungry and played that way for the entire game.

So this one is going at least six...should be the end of "hate to say it's but Oilers will easily roll the Kings" talk

Need to see that tomorrow night in Dallas.

Two keys things that will decide the series:

1. Quick needs to play like last night for LA to have a chance, they don't score enough to win otherwise (Kempe needs to wake up).

2. If the refs keep calling absurd amount of penalties like so far, it heavily favors the Oilers. And it's double emphasized in this series because LA's PP is horrible so even the makeup calls don't matter because they can't capitalize.

When I saw the score this morning, I presumed it was a cleaner game, reducing special teams time for the Oilers (aka only time they can score), but nnoooooppee. The number of PIM in this series is insane, up there with ours.

Thankfully LA was able to get the donut despite another parade to the box, hopefully bodes well for some of their adjustments

They have won the two games where Quick played well and got destroyed in the ones he hasn't. That seems to be the key to the series for the Kings.

LA took less single penalties and their penalty kill was way more effective. There were more co-incidental penalties last night. If their penalty kill and Quick remain strong, then they have a good chance. The Oilers struggle to compete with LA 5-on-5.
