Smith starting to flop and tumble again.

LA gaining confidence as this game goes on. Could carry over into the next one if they aren't able to come back here.

So Gaudreau has as many shots as Kane, Hyman, and RNH had goals...

Damn, I’m nervous that we might not be able to beat Dallas, my heart won’t make it if we happen to play the coilers. One series at a time of course but my God this is killing me to watch these playoffs so far.

Oilers are allowing 45 shots a night to the Kings, I wouldn't be too worried.

The hyperbolic comments and inferiority complex of some posters in this thread is embarrassing.

The Oilers are rolling with a lot of confidence right now, and the Kings didn't finish with much fight despite having carried the play for most of the game. Despite the Oilers' defence being pretty terrible, after goal number 6 the Kings looked deflated and a bit like they felt it's impossible for them to keep up with the scoring power of the Oilers.

The Oilers still haven't looked that good though outside of their offense. I can't imagine they come out looking so pretty if facing off against a team with stronger team defence and better scoring talent. I did expect more from LA's leadership though. Kopitar has played well at points, and so has Quick, but for the most part they're looking like guys on the verge of retirement.

Hopefully the Kings at least show enough character to bloody the Oilers' nose a bit in the coming games and don't just bow out without a fight.

Second game in a row where the Kings and Quick completely unraveled after dominating early. Seemed like they just threw in the towel after that 3rd goal and proceeded to let the Oilers walk all over them. It was almost a carbon copy of the previous game where a timely, gifted PP goal early in the game gave the Oilers exactly what they needed, and they didn’t look back.

Hopefully the Kings have some fight left in them, because they could still easily turn the series around with a win in game 4.

Full credit to the Oilers.

Though LA so far appears to be the easiest prey of the first-round teams, just ahead of Nashville, whose goaltending is bombing their playoffs.

Not over yet though. You have to win 4 to take a series, not 2.

Taking advantage of calls even if they're questionable is what you have to do. Oilers have done that. This standard, albeit ####y, has been employed across all the series so far.

LA has the right system in place I think but they lose focus when a couple goals go against them, which you can chalk up to inexperience of the younger roster (i think 10 players are in their first post-season). Their PP is atrociously ineffective too.

When we're talking 4-6 penalties aside, you need to be able to capitalize. At least at a 20-30% clip.

If you told me they were calling it like this and LA was going in with the 27th ranked PP I wouldn't have been as optimistic about their chances.
