Bang on about the conference alignment, but I think even then, the blues finalled 3 times in a row. That's from memory, but I'm pretty sure it's the case. They were the only team who compete with what were essentially all star teams at the time.
Not that that has anything to do with 40 years later...

Ryan Miller has been crap this season. Both those goals were savable. St. Louis should let him walk in the offseason.
