I'd love the ability to delete some of the Apple apps. Like the weather one or the stock market one, or even that compass and address book.

I suppose it's a bit OCD, but the fact that I can't remove the Apple stock market app stops me from installing the Bloomberg app. Same with the weather one and other weather apps. The address book and compass I want to remove just because I never use them.

Back when I used to jailbreak my phone so I could tether it, I used to install something called Big Boss Preferences so I could "hide" those apps.

Yep, I mentioned that before as well. More sounds. Just more configurable overall.

I agree also with uninstalling apps we don't use like Stocks, contacts etc. I don't use any of those because I've found better apps through the app store. Would be nice to not take up spots with them if I don't use them, so agreed FanIn80.

What the heck do you guys do for contacts?

I just access them all through the phone app... or the mail app, if need be. It's very rare that I actually go into the address book app to do anything.

I always thought the contacts section in the Phone app just loaded the address book. I guess I don't use it either.

Oh that might be a good point, actually. I never thought of it that way. Maybe all I really want, then, is to just hide the contacts icon.

Yeah I'd like to do that, too. I never use the contacts icon. The one that really bugs me is the "Nike + iPod" icon.

That can already be turned off in the settings on the iPhone. In fact, the default setting is to hide it, so you've turned it on yourself at some point and then forgotten where you turned it on.

Just go into settings and then Nike+ at the bottom. There's a slider inside there to turn it off. I'm speaking about the iPhone of course. I have no idea if the iPod Touch is the same.

They're going to remove copy and paste as well. Also, next gen iPhone will have no GPS, no 3G and aluminum back. Slower too.

I can see no multitasking.. or limited multi-tasking. But I think a UI upgrade is needed.. really hoping for that.

Apple needs to listen to their consumers on this one instead of telling them what they get.
