Can't remember on the internet I saw it, but there were isopods that were eating the tongue of fish(can't remember the lake) and then essentially taking the place of the tongue like a parasite. The isopods looked a lot like the giant isopods from the op

That would certainly be a nice surprise for a fisherman.

I find it weird that my natural response to anything horrific in nature (like the tongue replacing crustacian) is to laugh hysterically.

Good to know that when I'm consumed by immortal jellyfish or injested alive by giant invertebrate I will enjoy my demise.
