It's been one year since the "upgrade" and Enmax still haven't even come close to figuring it out. Don't expect this to change anytime soon guys. We aren't.
I thought the Germans made good stuff.

There was an article in Friday's Herald about them changing their billing system in Feb 09 and the probelms its caused since then.

We havent had a water bill in about 10 months now. We hadnt had a gas bill dor about six months and when it finally came it was messed up. And since then, every month they charge us the fixed rate when were supposed to be on floating. Every month we have to call to get it re-adjusted and they say were back on floating and then the bill comes and its the fixed rate. FCKKKKK.

The President and CEO of ENMAX has stepped down.
Gary Holden is leaving the company immediately.

God dammit I hate wasting time reading old bumped threads when the new post isn't even really that interesting or related.

So in my 5 months of being with this company, I've not yet received one monthly Bill. Some are 1.5 months, this current one is going on 2.

It was understandable for the first month or two since it was a new house, but this is getting ridiculous. I just called them and told them they essentially haven't billed me in two months, I'm sick of getting hit with $800 dollar bills at once, and if they can't bill me on some sort of monthly basis (or close to it - I know they take readings on different days), I'm going to go with someone who can.

Their response to this complaing " There's nothing we can do. We can offer you an installment payment plan for those periods. "

What a joke. I don't need a friggin installment plan. Money is not the issue here (I have no problem paying my bills myself and my wife live quite comfortably). I'm just tired of trying to figure out when the hell my Enmax bill is coming, or if it's going to be $300,$400, or $800 dollars.

I asked to speak to someone who deals with customer complaints, and was told the person I was talking to (the person who could do nothing) was all I could talk to.

Anyone else having this problem, or know of anything else I can do other than "start an installment plan"
Why don't you go on the instalment plan as they suggested? That way it takes care of your concern over not knowing what the payment will be and the amount is constant. With BC Hydro I pay my bill by instalments and then each December it is reconciled. I don't get what the huge concern is here. If from looking at your past bills you can tell you use about $400 per month, than either budget for it, put it aside or pay by instalments. It doesn't seem to be that big of a deal.

Edit: Just saw it was a year old question. I still don't think it's a big deal either way.

I believe Enmax have been experiencing computer problems the last year or two, and it's important to keep track of the various items to make sure you are being billed for them.

Their system seems overly complicated as they seem to have different billing intervals for each item eg. electricity, natural gas, water/waste water drainage, waste & recycling.

When I switched from Direct Energy to Enmax for natural gas, I had to phone and remind them to start charging for the gas several months after
I switched.

Also, for some reason they stopped billing me altogether for several months, and I ended up with a very large bill.

Me too, now I just click the little red down arrow to the left of the thread title. It takes you to the first unread post in that thread, whether its the 1st post or the 75th.
