Only two kids came to our door here in Signal Hill. My wife is so disappointed. I told her not to expect many, but she was optimistic.

See, this I can see. At some point it explodes horribly like some sort of Pepsi grenade. Someone gets soaked. Russian Roulette on a budget.

I try and do my part to keep it going and make it fun for the kiddies. I always stay home and hand out candy and carve pumpkins. I went all out on the decorations this year too.

Bravo to you! In another thread, wondered why I gave out full size Mr Big bars - I have this quaint notion I'm helping to save Halloween by giving the kids a reason to come. The leftovers are pretty good too...

I saw a bunch of kids going out when I drove home but not many came. I like it.

I had another kid come up to my house after the first two.
I didn't answer the door.

less than 50.
I'm pretty choked actually. I LOVE Halloween. Last year we had close to 100, but I don't know what happened this year. Too bad. Those that came got like 5 or more treats each.

2 groups of kids for 5 kids. Totally depressing. Do children even know people were giving out FREE CANDY tonight?

I heard on the news that some parents may have been keeping their kids in due to H1N1 fears. Anyone hear anything to substantiate that?

Reasonable temperature and a Saturday night, I figured there would be more kids out tonight -- particularly the wee tykes.
Pretty standard numbers though -- stalled out at 20 total.
In retrospect, and given the Saturday night, I guess there were a lot more parties.
Planned for 50. Got me about 25 brown paper lunch sacks, each generously filled (I don't cheap out).
Guess I'll just bring the surplus to the office.

Only had 13 and about 7 of them were teens not even in costume.
I took the little one around tonight and she made off like a bandit. Its amazing what teaching your kids proper manners does. You use `Thank You`and suddenly they are giving out more candy to you. I even had people trying to give me candy at the door because I was dressed up with her. I declined because I`m way past Trick or Treating age, but after seeing how many kids were out, I should have accepted.

Had maybe 60 kids all night in Briar Hill. They would come in waves - get maybe 5 families all together at the door all at once, then nothing for 15 minutes.
BTW - my little one and I trick-or-treated at the Regehr household tonight, which was kind of neat.

Exactly zero yesterday near central Auckland, New Zealand. I did see a few kids out though with their parents, in full regalia. But when its sunny and at least a few hours before sunset, it's just not the same buzz. I always prefered dark and snowing on hallows eve... what an awesome holiday/occasion. Great to read through this thread though, sounds like it was pretty well attended in most parts!

We had about 500. We live on probably the busiest street in town though. My buddy only got 9.

500?! My lord that is a lot. Did you give them all candy? How much did you have to buy!

It was our first time giving out candy this year, so we bought a little extra incase. In the end I'd say half of it was given out. We had around 25-30 kids show up. Nothing after 8 pm. This is in Erin Woods.

We live on a very busy street in Lethbridge and only had about 25 kids. We probably had about 40 last year, so it's definitely down this year.
I can't believe how many people had losers with no costumes come to their door asking for candy. This has only happened to me once or twice and I wouldn't give them anything. If they want to try smash my pumpkins or trash my yard, then I might give them something - like a kick in the teeth.
