Great series so far, I was hoping the Hitmen would put up a better battle though(eventhough I am cheering for Rockets due to Backlund). As long as they win it all and go to the Memorial cup, is all that matters to me. I want to watch as much of Backlund as I can this year.

Which is what Huselius did too. Accused of not being a hard worker but he was still the team's 2nd highest point getter in the seasons he was here. The difference seems to be that Backlund is able to turn it on when it really counts.

Except for the part where the Hitmen are in the finals, and the Giants lost in the third round...

Resolute and Albert I hope you're joking. You know what I meant...faired better vs Kelowna. Calgary had no real competition in the playoffs.

We had Brandon. The difference in that series was pretty much the difference in this series so far: puck luck.
That series easily could have gone the distance, and this series could easily be 2-2 or even 3-1 Calgary. Just how it goes.

So when you lose 4 games to 2 against Chicago, the Canucks and Flames made it an equal distance in the playoffs, right?

So we're down 1-3 down now. Who else thinks we can come back? I do.
I was watching the highlights of the game today on TSN, and Calgary won and all they showed were Hitmen highlights, then for the stats they showed, Backlund had 2 goals. I was like "Sweet!"

If any team is going to do it its the Hitmen.

One team in WHL history has come back from an 0-3 deficit. Spokane over Portland in the first round in 1996.
Me, I figure if the bloody Toronto Maple Leafs can overcome a 0-3 deficit to win a championship, surely we can to.

I'm liking Backlund's seeming ability to get up for these big games - first star in the series clincher against Tri-City, first star in the series clincher against Vancouver, second star in the possible series clincher against the Hitmen....
also, he's +17 in 21 games...I know +/- is a terribly flawed stat, but still you have to be doing something right to get a gaudy number like that.
