My ex g/f had 2 in the span of about 6 months. She was a total duffer too, which made it even worse.

The first one was a 100 yd par 3 at Shag, she skulled her wedge and 4 hopped it into the cup.

The second was out in Kokanee Springs. We did a golf school out there, and one evening the 2 of us were out playing twilight holes. She put her t shot on the green, but because it was sort of dark you couldn't see anything, you could only hear the ball hit the flag. Sure enough, we walked up and there it was.....sitting in the hole. We told the pro who was our instructor for the week, and the look of anger on his face was priceless. He could have strangled her; he had never had an ace and here was some hack who had holed 2 in the same year.

On a getaway with a bunch of university buddies a few years one guy got a hole in one. It was his second round of the year and his 2nd hole in one of the year.

Honest!

Congrats to all the Hole in One's. Especially West Karma for getting it on a par 4 though. That is something else, not many people anywhere can claim they have done that.

I have been golfing for about 20 years and I have still never made one. I have been REAL close a handful of times, the ball has been less than an inch away but just never dropped. I have holed out a few times on par 4's from the fairway but that's just a hole in 2 and not nearly as impressive.

One of these days it has to happen. For the amount of time, effort and money I invest in golf the golfing gods have to reward me sooner or later.....I hope.

congrats.. on a par 4 to boot that is pretty slick.. I had my one and only about 7 years ago. 195 par 3 18th at the course i am a member at.

Last round of the year late october. Lucked out as there were only about 5 people in the clubhouse got away for like $50 plus at our course one of our local real estate agents puts a $500 prize on the hole for anyone that makes one. Made $450 that day.. Even better

i played round yesterday and stuck 2 within a foot of the hole , one was about 4 inches..... I wish i could find these 100 yard par 3's here.... all four par 3's at the course i usually play at are well over 150 , one of them is 204 yds ....

I was talking with a guy at work who thought Hole in One insurance was in case you got a hole in one the insurance company would pick up the tab in the club afterwords. He thought if you got a hole in one that everyone in the clubhouse should buy you a drink and not the other way around (makes sense) and that he was seriosly considering finding a brokerage that sells it because he had a few close calls the last time he golfed and was worried about getting a hole in one becasue he couldnt' afford to buy everyone a drink. I didn't have the heart to tell him the truth.
