I am not a medical professional, so take what I say as just some random rumblings on the internet.
I would say that pooping schedule is not healthy. All of the foods that you listed are really low in fibre. This has nothing to do with her being vegetarian, since most fibre-rich foods are vegetarian (legumes, whole grains, nuts & seeds, other vegetables).
I'd recommend that she discuss this with her doctor or a nutritionist.

Three to five Type 5s per day. The family doc once said being a regular guy was a good thing ... he said frequent flushing of the pipes was a good cancer prevention, at least as far as bowel cancer and such goes.
As an aside, because of threads like this I think I know more about my fellow CPers that I know about most of my friends. There's no way I'd get into a discussion like this other than on CP.

Last year I bought a couple boxes of cereal, it was actually called "Fibre - something", I don't remember the exact name. I'd have a few bowls of that everyday, and my poops were great, purely Type 2-4's.
Maybe I'll force feed her some of that stuff...

Here are a couple of articles on the topic that you may want to read: from Mayo Clinic & from yourtotalhealth.

I had some serious health issues within the past couple years...
I wasn't eating enough fibre in my diet, which was causing enormous stress on my bowel movements, I frequently had 1 which left my anus all painful... I ended up getting a hemmoroid which in turn caused a fissure to develop.
I used to go 5 to 6 times a day... Anything that i ate would just pass right through me.. It was awful.... Felt like i was on fire down there....
I ended up having pretty painful surgery to fix my anus..
I would recommend eating fiber every day...

Sometimes you only get one individual unit of Type 1 out and that's all you can get, and it's really frustrating. After the initial bout of Type 1/5 is dealt with I usually end up with Type 4 for the rest of the trip. Something I almost never get at home. Type 1, 2 and 5 definitely conserve the TP compared to 3,4,6 and 7.
Anyone else get travel poop syndrome?
|
That description of TPS is bang-on for me. Every trip I go on, no matter where in the world, it's the same syndrome. I don't know whether it's the change in the water supply from city to city (for God's sake don't get drunk and chug a bunch of water in Warsaw, ever) or simply the mental anxiety of being out of one's element (especially when other people are reliant on said foreign pooping washroom), but TPS is a very real, very disturbing phenomenon.

Haha I hear ya, its funny how your body gets into a system like that. It also sucks, as for some reason I developed some habit of having to drop a deuce in the middle of the night every night. I'd wake up every day between 4-5am to have to go, it was terrible. I finally made myself not go for a couple days at that time(which was sheer hell), and voila, I never had to go at that time anymore.
btw put me in the 2-3 a day category. Also, am I the only one that has to drop one twice the same morning when you're hung over? It's like clockwork.

Well I did make a typo, but even emptying them if you haven't done it in a couple of days would certainly be a bit painful and make me bite my tongue.
Kind of like reverse gayness? Instead of what goes in it's what comes out.

I usually go once a day. My record for not going is like 7 days though. It was a trip back to Hong Kong. I wasn't sick and was eating quite alot. I guess chinese food doesn't run through me like you gwai loes hahaha. But nothing came out. I seriously thought I was never going to crap again.
My friend's record is 16 days when she went back to India. I guess she didn't eat very much either. She finally forced her parents to book her a hotel room. Poor hotel! hahaha

I poop 2-3 times a day, usually set to a clock. First thing in the am, once in the afternoon and one just after supper time.
edit: just talking about poop is making me have to go!

Bananas. She definitely needs a better balanced diet. And in ZOOL 363 (I think) we learned poo is seriously toxic crap (pun originally unintended, but intended now). Having that sitting in your body for more than 2-3 days is really bad. I'm surprised she's always been like that.

You're not alone.
My trips to the can when traveling are maybe half of what they are when Im in my "territory". It doesn't have anything to do with holding it, constipation... anything like that, I just dont have to go. But as SOON as I walk in the door when I get home from said trip, the first thing I do is cut a turd.
I was on a camping trip in the states years ago, and didn't have what I call, while camping, "a log at the log" for almost a week. Didn't have to go, but as soon as I came home I got high centered on the john. *shrug*

I fire one out once a day at the same time of the morning everyday.
When I used to go out in the field, I'd basically go a week in between, then god help anyone around me.

I've gone to 2-3 times a day since adding a lot of fibre to my diet.
