Nintendo's stuff is older, more proven, technology. No fascinating
new CPU/GPU or optical drive in this one. Not entirely sure,
but isn't the graphics right off the shelf for the Wii?

The Wii has no moving parts, excepting the generic DVD drive,
which they all have (although bluray or hd-dvd in the others;
once again old tech vs new tech).

XBox 360 and PS3 also use hard drives, adding to the complexity,
"moving parts", etc.

Nintendo shouldn't have high failure rate compared to the other
two.

But im also referring to past systems; Ie Gamecube vs. PS2 vs. Xbox; the Gamecube was more advanced than the PS2 in terms of hardware, and it was still a more durable system.

Either way, the failure rate of the X-Box 360 seems unacceptable for any consumer product.

Nintendo is great at making their systems durable.

Got my PS3 in the first month, gonna get a Wii next.

With exception to the original NES of course. I went through 3 of those. But to be fair, it was an old system. I kept getting the grey screen after awhile, and of course me being naive, thought it was due to dust. Looking through the internet made me realize dust had nothing to do with it, and that blowing into it didn't really solve anything. The fix is actually pretty easy, and I've brought my NES back out of the closet to enjoy some classics!
