Nintendo's stuff is older, more proven, technology. No fascinating
new CPU/GPU or optical drive in this one. Not entirely sure,
but isn't the graphics right off the shelf for the Wii?
The Wii has no moving parts, excepting the generic DVD drive,
which they all have (although bluray or hd-dvd in the others;
once again old tech vs new tech).
XBox 360 and PS3 also use hard drives, adding to the complexity,
"moving parts", etc.
Nintendo shouldn't have high failure rate compared to the other
two.
