Not enough of some of the pioneering electric Guitar virtuosos mention:
*Muddy Waters
*Chuck Berry
*Elmore James
and a little later:
*B.B. King
*Albert King
*Buddy Guy
*Jimi Hendrix
Some acoustic guitarists:
*Robert Johnson
*Lead Belly
and more contemporary and Canadian (though dead) Lenny Breau

Terry Kath. Wow there is a name from the past. Time to put on a couple old Chicago records. Here is good guitarist that never got much credit because he was in a pop band. Steve Lukather from Toto.

I'd go see them all in a heartbeat. Unfortunately, no one realizes that the Calgary area actaully has a million people and could easily fill up an arena for shows like that.

Doug Martsch is probably my favorite current guitar player.

What...? No Pete Townsend yet? For sheer power, he's got to be one of them.

I have to give credit to Willie. I love to hear him pick his guitar. His playing is as distinctive as any rock n roller. He's been playing the same guitar for almost 30 years and has wore a hole right through the wood, calls the guitar "Trigger".

Wow 3 pages and not one person mentioned Frank Zappa, or Steve Vai or Steve Morse.
Shame, Shame, Shame.
At least I saw Chet Atkins name, or did I? I'll have to look again.
