I want Vegas to go deep regardless so they have a long challenging run that leaves them hung over and tired next season when we have their pick. Hope they are able to take this one and keep the run going.

Adin Hill got better as the last series went on. Hopefully that trend keeps progressing.
I can't see even average Hill losing to Pickard/Skinner.

Pretty tired of hate-watching the playoffs. It would be nice if the Leaf and Oil were eliminated quickly.

I think the Losers are peaking and catching the momentum at the moment, so I'm not confident LV can win this series. Goaltending is the biggest weakness of the Losers, so I hope LV limit GA less than 3 and score more than 3. Hopefully LV plays more physical games to make those Losers weaker if they lose.

If it's a bloody war with mass casualties on both sides and Vegas wins in 7 good enough for me. McDavid can claim glory in the international events while Eichel flaunts his cup rings in his face that will never happen for Connor in Edmonton.

Kings should have been playing the Avalanche and they would have been eliminated regardless.
And I don't believe you dislike this new format as it helps the Oilers.

Edmonton has the stars, Vegas has the better depth.
Vegas is going to need to get better goaltending and depth scoring to win. Oilers need to get average goaltending, and special teams time to win.
Vegas has the d-core, and the centers to be able to match up well when the Oilers start double shifting the wonder twins though. Which is something that the Kings had no answer for.

What a gross series.
Whatever happens here, hopefully, it implodes the Knights and we cash in on a great unprotected pick

Vegas has the ability to roll four very strong lines unlike the Kings which matches them up much better against the Oilers. Vegas also has a very big and mobile defense.
Kopitar and Doughty also really showed there age last series from a defensive perspective.
I really do like the Vegas here but Hill needs to be better than he has been.

The old way, the first round would have been Dallas vs Edmonton and LA vs Colorado with the winners next opponent dependent on regular season seeding.
Upsets are great but they don't have to make it easier for the bottom teams to make it, what's the point of the regular season?
|
Dallas vs. Edmonton in the first round, damn. That would have been great. Rantanen would have had a field day with that defense. Dallas wouldn't have let the oilers of the mat with all those mistakes by LA- probably finished them in 5.

No idea who's going to win but surely Edmonton can't keep outscoring their terrible goaltending. Still can't believe they didn't upgrade it at all.
