Stuck at home sick reading up on some hockey rumours. Wound up on the HF Canadiens board and saw they are on their second thread that is cheering for the Flames demise this season. Kind of funny to see their takes, I hope we continue to piss them off!

100% correct and I'll add the forward group too. Huberdeau is leading the team with 37 points. Since they're playing the Leafs tonight, he'd be 5th in scoring behind John Tavares, a guy that everyone loves to say is washed now.

It's been an amazing job done this season by the entire coaching staff to have a low skilled group be in a playoff spot in February.

Just heard that the Leafs have the most goaltender stolen games in the NHL. More than the Flames

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but IIRC, doesn't he need to clear waivers to go back down after a call up? They could only call up on an emergency if they didn't have enough players, but they do...so they're stuck with the veterans for now.

Maybe I'm totally out to lunch. Waiting for someone to correct me in 3...2...1...

Looking forward to seeing Farabee with Huberdeau and Kadri. I like Pospisil on that line and Farabee brings some of the same grit while being a more reliable offensive player.

I hope they win, but just as importantly, that they also have fun.

I mean, I get it. I'm cheering for New Jersey and Vegas to fall apart for similar reasons.

Yeah, I wouldn't take it personally. It's just in the best interests of their team.

Not surprising actually... Leafs have had really strong goaltending all season between Stolarz and Woll.

I think you are right.

He cleared going down, at the start of the season. Is there a timer on how long he is waiver exempt? Maybe that's over now? Is that how it works?

I get the feeling they want Solo to earns his spot in camp and become a full time NHLer. Therefore Kuz or Poirier probably get called up first, eh?

We have a lot of up and coming lefty D. It would be awesome is they all made it.

For us old timers, this is the way it should be.

The last two Canadian teams to battle in the Cup finals were the Flames and Habs, in fairly quick succession. And we lifted the Cup in their building, I think we are the only team that ever did that. Habs are the Yankees of hockey. There should be healthy hate between our fan bases.

But arent they supposed to be a good team? They "rely" on goaltending more than any team in the NHL

Only if he plays a bunch of games I think.
