Dallas has as much depth and talent as anyone. Their playoffs will depend entirely on how well Oettinger plays - he hasn't been great so far this season. But if he gets hot, they are as good as anyone.

I like this a lot more for San Jose. Grier's reputation has done a 180 for me over the last couple of years. San Jose is shaping up to be a good team down the road.

Right around the time EDM begins their regression, lol. Seriously, the best chance the Oilers had was last year, one win, one goal away. Either McD leaves or signs for too much and too long and those players/contracts become anchors in a few years. Glorious future, I hope I'm right.

Kind of like a slightly better Tomas Tatar

Kind of like L.A. traffic. If you want to avoid the rush, you can either get in the rush to beat the rush, or join the rush that waited till after the rush.

I'd rather see them get swept in the first round, personally.

Amazing how much value SJ was able to recoup with Granlund, who was essentially a cap dump for Pittsburgh when he got traded. Goes to show how players in bad situations can be had for scraps. Hopefully this is the case with Farabee and Frost too.

A late 1st in this year's draft would be like a 2nd rounder in last year's draft based on what we're hearing about the depth of the 2025 draft. Still, it's a 1st.

Ceci has a rental was probably worth a 2nd or 3rd.
Granlund is at least a 2nd, maybe a 1st (he's been close to point per game in San Jose)
So late first is about the equivalent of 2 2nds

I guess teams covet Ceci because he is big? Isn't he routinely one of the worst analytical players in the league?
