If we can add an "L" Tuesday night to stack on top of this weekend? Oh, what a sight!

- Flames would love to keep all their players, but can't because of the salary cap
- Believe with goaltending like what Markstrom is providing, anything is possible

...and that's about all I can remember.

And his version of zone defense is embarrassingly passive. And the PP is third worst in the league. And when his team is forechecked hard instead of adjusting and bringing players back to create outlets he defaults to blinds passes into he neutral zone or hammering the puck up the boards for a tip in while the entire forward group is stationary.

He's a bad coach. He's Dallas Eakins 2.0. Takes what worked for him and lower levels (at least Eakins wasd good in the AHL) and applies it to the NHL. Then it doesn't work and he's got nothing.

Lndholm with 1 goal in his last 16 games. The best thing to happen to the Flames this year is this guy turning down the Flames 8 year contract offers. I’m counting the weeks until he’s gone as of a guy can’t even get up for his contract year, you know he’s got no 2nd gear. I couldn’t imagine eight more years of this guy.

I still disagree with this.

There's no top-end #1 centre.
There's no #1 RW
There's a $10.5M reclemation project on LW.
There's no top-end #1 defenceman.

The Flames have plenty of mediocre players, but not a single player on this team is a team driving talent.

The Flames have "depth" in that our 3rd line may be better than those found on other teams, but that doesn't matter in this league when the top end of your roster is this lacking in comparison to playoff teams. Their depth isn't even that impressive anymore - and it's getting quite old. After Lindy is gone, we'll have Kadri and Backlund down the middle...that won't result in anything.

Shoot Savard to the moon. The PP needs some change, whatever that is.
The biggest things the powerplay is missing are a true PP QB and an elite sniper. They actually get a fair amount of pressure, but the lack of talent shows.

With the goalie pulled, to me, it felt like nobody wanted the puck.

Exactly this. It is not that there isn't talent at all. It is that there isn't any superstar. Barely stars. Look at what the rest of the league thinks of our talent at the beginning of the season when all the top player lists come out. We don't have anyone mentioned. This team is right where they should be in the standings

Blake Coleman should’ve been the teams All-Star representative. That tells you all you need to know about the talent level of this team.

Pretending Lindholm is a #1 center is what is killing this team.

Just like last season, can't beat Chicago when it matters. Blow it up.

I honestly am a bit curious about what Huska and co could do if they had actual elite pieces on the team. But who knows if Huska will still be here at that point

Yup he has been bad since Johnny and Tkachuk left

There is no gear. With the goalie out , he can barely dump the puck in let alone carrying it .

Hopefully rest of the league really thinks he is an All-Star

Conroy needs to trade him ASAP before they review the videos

Even with a flyer of a season going the guy is still likely un-tradeable...tells you all you need to know about the value to be had in free agency.

If Conroy can sneaky get anything for that player without giving up picks before the deadline he deserves a parade.

Seems like .500 is the high bar for this team. I am glad Hubey is finding his way. By the time the Coyotes game comes around on Thursday, that is 5 games in 8 nights, with significant travel. And the Flames aren't the only team facing this schedule. No chance for consistency for a lot of the teams. I am enjoying watching the kids. Let's just hope Conroy can turn this around so we have some hope for the future.

It was all cookie cutter, boiler plate stuff. I don't think he said anything controversial. He said that they are not where they want to be and that every day they (the GM and AGMs) talk about how they can improve the team. He preached patience saying that Conroy is building relationships with other GMs, which I agree is a big part of any GMs strategy. I have no doubt some GMs see Conroy and fresh meat and maybe a little rushed, and want to take advantage of him.

Still perplexing that he was selected to go the All-Star game. I'm sure most fans around the league don't even really know who he is since his name has fallen off after the summer of Johnny and Chucky.

Do teams have a say in who can be voted to go to the game? Was this a play by the organization to try to up his value in a trade? No damn sense.

Nope, it's a league decision.

Bring up Wolf.

Love Markstrom but the big guy needs to be traded. Hopefully he waives.

Trade for assets.

Sell everything. That includes you Murray.
