I mean, the Flames have beaten the Knights already this year.

Hill expected but not confirmed tonight for the Knights.

Coming off an injury, maybe the Flames can chase him from the net early.

It wasn't a fluke win either. They out shot, out hit, out FOd them, and not only did they outshoot them, Vegas had 26 blocks to Calgary's 10, so at least 16 more shot attempts added for Calgary. If anything Vegas was lucky to get a point. Both goalies were excellent.

I wonder whether parts of the team are still fighting the flu and its after-effects and if that had any bearing on the mistakes they made in the 3rd period last night. Particularly tough if the defencemen were still not 100%.

I thought Greer and Pospisil looked as good as usual and they both had it. I wonder if Rasmus was affected - he had an off night IMO.

I’m starting to think he’s part of the problem.
It all depends on what you want. If you want this team to try and compete and squeeze into the playoffs than yes, he is a big problem. If you have come to the acceptance the team need to move out the UFA's and draft in the top 10 and bottom out as much as possible over the next few years he is more part of the solution. My only issue is his ineptness is tanking Lindholm a value but other than that he is doing a fine job of steering this team to a lottery pick which is where they need to go for now.

How many good coaches had this team employed during those years? I can think of one. When you constantly dumpster dive for coaches that is what you get.

Good thing we’re paying him more this year.

Yes, they could do better in terms of a sexy hire, but they have also had 2 coaches in the last 10 years win a Jack Adams award here so just claiming coaching is constantly holding them back is not at all accurate.

Both times these coaches have won coach of the year, the next season they have pretty much been labeled useless by all as well.....coaching is way too easy of a blame in this city for a team that is often lacking top talent.
