Man, that's a shocking thread title to read. Seemed like a real decent person here on CP. Sorry to all his friends here, just really sad news.

I've knowingly met 2 people on this board. I say knowingly as it's possible (although unprobable) that I crossed paths with others here and I am unaware.
While I haven't met many of you IRL, if you will. This is a community I genuinely feel grateful to be a part of.
Without meeting a poster in person I have difficulty identifying posts and posting styles of various posters. I basically look at is at Calgary Puck as a collective, and then depending on the post I'll see who wrote it.
With that said, Regulator was a name that stuck out in my mind. I was shocked and take aback when I saw he passed.
I hope he passed peacefully, and that his loved ones are thinking of all the good times and fond memories.
My heart goes out to him, and those that cared for him.
I'm geninuely saddened by this news, and I've never met him. I can't imagine how those who he actually interacted with and lives he's touched are feeling right now.

Wow, this really hits hard. I knew him personally through my previous work (with his son). He cared a lot about him and it was a treat to chat hockey and music whenever we saw each other. He was an awesome guy to shoot the breeze with and those saying he was funny are absolutely right. I’ve lost touch with him and the family through the last few years but have nothing but great things to say. Damn. Really grateful we got to cross paths and I got to see what a great dad he was. RIP, I’ll be thinking of the fam for sure.

What a sad news. I met him once during his photoshoot with a model a few years ago. A really nice, quiet, polite and likeable guy. Liked his posts, his posting style and, of course, his great photos a lot. A big loss for CP.
Rest in Peace, Regulator75.

RIP. Amazing how jarring it it can be to be reminded that we are all humans behind the nicknames, avatars, and hockey talk. Live each day to the fullest.

I echo your thoughts. I've met 3 or 4 other CP members, that I know. I also don't pay too close attention to who is who... not always. There are some posters that stick out and Regulator was one of those who did.
Very sad news to hear. My condolences to those who knew him especially to his loved ones.

I didn't have too many topics in common with Regulator, but every time I saw his posts, I knew I could expect something level headed and cordial. In the rare situation I recall when we discussed a topic that was obviously frustrating to him, I could sense a calmness in his post even though it was saying he was upset at the situation. He didn't seem like the type of guy to dwell on negative things and was always relatively eager to move on when he ran into them.
I never met him, but he always seemed like a solid guy to laugh and drink with.
I agree with niewy that it kinda feels like we're all going to be here forever behind the avatars and whatnot, but indeed we are just mortals behind these keyboards.

He was a constant presence here for as long as I can remember, was he at the predecessor message board too? That I can't recall. Kind of feels like these kind of events will be more and more common here in the coming years.
Condolences to his family and friends.
