People need to stop complaining about Marky starting. We can’t play Vladar every game. Let’s just hope the boys in front of him actually play well with him in net

Markstrom needed a break. The flames were never going to say take 10 days to get away from the rink then lets try again. Thankfully, it happened naturally. So now they need to see if it worked. It will be the game that tells us if Markstrom is the backup or the starter from here on out including playoffs, IMO.

The most important thing for this team is to play the system and play it for a full 60. When they play there team game they are fine. It is when they deviate from the system that they lack success.

Dube-Kadri-Toffoli would be fine IMO.
I'd like to see Gilbert instead of Stone, just to see what happens.

TBH, I would much rather watch that than anything on the All-Star weekend.

I'm expecting a pretty sloppy game tonight. Not concerned with who is in net, more concerned that the forwards and defense help out. Time for the entire team to play up to their potential, might as well start tonight.

Halak has probably been one of the most underrated goalies for the past 15 years.

While I mostly agree, they did have a good game against Seattle with Gilbert in and Tanev out

I've been an ASG apologist in the past, and they slightly revivied interest in the first couple years of 3 on 3. But this was pretty sad.
They need to put some big money on the skills and remove the gimmicks. and even bigger money on the ASG and go back to one game, E v W. That's how you get guys competing. Money.

Glad to see Tanev back, but his ability to stay healthy long-term is always a bit shaky.
With Kylington unlikely to return this season Brad desperately needs to pick up another top 6 defenseman for when Tanev inevitably gets injured again.

I like accuracy shooting, fastest skater and hardest shot competition. Everything else is cringe, including the game.
The Ovi Jr thing was not cringe.

Manhattanboy really wishes he was back in Manhattan for this game. Damn work.
Funny in those few years I lived in NYC I was not able to take in a Flames game. Timing never worked.
I was supposed to be at the game in March, 2020 but Covid ended hockey. Or those responsible for Covid...

Inconsistent team unlikely to have a consistently good game after such a long break but we can always hope!

I’ve been so bored since the last game, so I’m looking forward to this one.
