Is Harvey a Husky, a Malamute or a Wolf-Dog?

I think I once mentioned on here that I met one of the Harvey's back when I was in college. They were a top local athlete at the time - which explained the old standing on the railing, hanging off the plexi, etc. that I'm sure health & safety frowns upon now.

Aren't both of these breeds not considered to be hound breeds?

Maybe he's an Norwegian Elkhound. Or maybe a Deerhound.

Gary the No-Trash Cougar up in Edmonton would say “hi”, but he’s busy murdering a family behind a dumpster.

Gritty is #1 and there’s no sense denying it.

But Harvey is legit. One of the best.

This is clearly Oiler fan spite. Nobody outside of Alberta even knows Harvey exists.

Look at some of these monstrosities, let's just go ahead and agree that suggesting Harvey is the worst looking out of that rogues gallery is simply laughable.

Do you mean the green thing below Gritty? I believe that's the Columbus mascot, Stinger. He's supposed to be a bug, but I don't think he's based on any kind of real bug from the Ohio area or anything.

Also, how did they not name him, Columbug?

I've always liked that Harvey is the only mascot in the league who doesn't wear his team's jersey. TARPS OFF!

it's because he doesn't have a giant stuffed head a puffy body like most others but I think that was because how athletic he used to be needed to be able to move
