I think he’s noting that you actually got “Tortz” (when you obviously meant to say “Trotz”)

In that case I suppose he's entitled to the opinion. I thought he was still playing for some reason.

Retired due to injuries that were just getting worse.

Pretty good article in the Athletic about his last few years, decision to retire, and mentions his relationship with Torts. Worth a read: https://theathletic.com/3090665/2022...-blue-jackets/

Basically sounds like they didn't get along in NY, Dubinsky got traded to CBJ, and then when Torts came to CBJ he pretty quickly went back into the dog house. Takes ownership for the mistakes he made along the way, but just wasn't a good relationship between the two of them.

Hard to blame the guy.

Apparently Atkinson loves him. Torts is probably a manipulative A-hole, but Dubinsky is probably exposing himself as a bigger problem for those CBJ teams.

Surprised at the Johnny talk.

Guy is nearing the tail-end of his career and probably wants to win something, thats just not gonna happen anytime soon in Philly.

Don’t see how considering before Torts he was an assistant captain and a good contributor to their success overall and seems to be universally loved in Columbus.

Sometimes people don’t get along.

Anyone who could play for Darryl could play for Torts.

That said, no way does Johnny sign with Philadelphia over the Devils. New Jersey has a bunch of young studs up front, a solid blue line, and all they really need is a goalie.

Philadelphia needs everything.

Also NJ has money and cap space.
