I hope it's a five years deal, the shelf life of their coach is 2 to 3 years top.

100+ point team every season under him (pro rated)

Been to the finals, been to the conference finals, lost in the 2nd round twice

What a ridiculous firing.

He'll end up in Vegas I bet.
Thanks Bruins

Good hire by Vegas, figured he would end up in Florida.

This is a great coach, and Vegas is going to be great with him, unfortunately.

Everyone said Vegas was going to be amazing with Eichel last year, how did that turn out? They are not the team from a couple seasons ago.

Some people on here were scared of a Vegas core of Stone, Eichel, Pieterangelo, Theordore for years to come. lol

How many games did Stone and Eichel play together? I’m pretty sure it was ten and they only lost in regulation twice with them together (though lost in shootouts a lot). Could be mistaken, but seems a bit early to be laughing at people who thinks they still could be good together.

Need to figure out Lehner situation though.

Yeah, there's enough talent in Vegas to expect a bounceback next year. I certainly wouldn't be counting them out of anything, especially after adding a legitimately good coach.

I feel pretty confident they will win the division relatively easily next season providing injuries don't decimate them again. I would expect the Flames to take a step back depending on how things go with Gaudreau and if the Oilers don't re-sign Kane I don't see them challenging the Knights.

They are going to do squat with that goaltending.

I would imagine they'll fix that this summer though.

Their young kid played lights out dragging them into shootout after shootout trying to get them into the playoffs.

Split between him and Lehner they’ll be fine.

Lehner was injured too. if he comes back healthy he should be a .915 goalie in a 1a1b 40-50 games.

There are two problems with VGK at this point: the obvious one is the salary cap, and how they go about putting together a cap-compliant roster to start the season. The other is injuries, and how several players will come out of it. We still have no idea about Jack Eichel's long-term prognosis, but on top of that, there is Mark Stone and Robyn Lehner. With how messed up Stone's back and Lehner's knees are, there is a very realistic chance that their best playing days have passed. Yes, this provides LTIR relief to VGK, but it seems pretty doubtful that they would be able to fill it with comparable players.
