Well they had the hardest first half in NHL history based on road/home splits so you might be right.

I think it it's a little too condensed though. Teams often struggle when they play 3 in 4 ect.

They are well setup for sure but they certainly earned it

I’d like to see Vladar start against EDM, and WPG. Two teams Markstrom struggles against. I would even let him play on both EDM/WSH games back to back. I think he could do very well.

Add me to the list of people that think they are due to go on a tear.

I'll go with 12-5-3. Anything over 25 points would be awesome.

21-1-0

They will only lose in overtime once and it will be a 2-1 loss in the final game of the regular season. Dube will be in net.

On one hand, I see Sutter's comments a few weeks ago regarding Vladar as a purposely created challenge to the goalie to see if he has another level. But then on the other hand, Sutter is no stranger to riding his hot goalie so maybe it is just a case that he will go with his number 1 more than some would like.

They always believe the world has it in for them. Any time there is an Oilers game, there is some excuse about why it was terrible to have a game scheduled on that day and how unfair everything is for them.

By pretty much every metric imaginable, they have had one of the softest schedules in the entire league up until now.

Well the stretch ended last night.
Flames went 15-3-2 for a total of 32 points.
12-1-2 in the 15 home games and a respectable 3-2 on the road considering 3 of those were game 2 in a back to back.

So they did a bit better than the .725 that was expected....

2 out of 3 of these the Flames collected 30 points. Outside of that 2-7-1 stretch around the Covid pause the team has been at a 120 point or better pace.

For this last stretch 11 home and 9 on the road. All Western games with 10 in the Pacific and 10 in the Central left.

What an awesome stretch. 32 points out of 40. Elite team.

Next 20 I am thinking 14-4-2 would be the best realistic outcome, but I am expecting Vladar to get a few extra starts and I'd be happy with 12-8 to finish the year.

Edit: also amazing that in this stretch they added Toffoli and now Jarnkrok to our forward group. Wow

And...they were 5-1-0 in the 6 games leading in to this 20 game stretch
