From what you see on instagram and from interviews, he seems to enjoy Calgary and his family is settled in. Obviously just pure speculation on my part, but I don't think he'll waive.

Lucic is from Vancouver and specifically stated he wants to be close to family. Imo he wants to go to Seattle. Could see him waiving for anywhere on the west coast actually. He seemed to really enjoy playing there.

I think we should roll with the same lineup in the interim. The team is playing well and solidifying their playoff chances in November believe it or not.

That being said, Sutter does indeed have a shelf life as a coach, as most do. The management group should push their chips in this season. We have a recent comparable when they rolled through the regular season but didn't make any moves for the playoffs or at the deadline. The results were distasteful in the Avs series.

Management should supplement on short term players to help push towards playoff success.
I think they should be looking at top six winger, bottom six winger and a top four D that could slot/stack the 3rd pairing.

I've never been as high on Valimaki as most on this board to be ready early, but I'm also not ready to let him go for a depth guy. Be patient with him.
